My 4S will go on CL, like all my previous iPhones when a new model releases.

Will buy iPhone (whatever it's called) and then sell 4S on Craigslist for $600. It'll only be 8 months old.

You could buy a phone, new in stores, the week before the next one is released and it'll be considered 1 year old.

Technology is aged by it's release, not when purchased.

Not iPhones

Yes, even iPhones.

Again, with ALL technology, the only things that matter are the original release date and the condition they're in when trying to sell them.

The only exceptions are when certain model numbers can do things that others can not, but, that's not the case with the 4S.

Well the aging depends on whether the buyer has any clue whether the next iPhone is due out in a week or so...

Which begs the question, how many people actually come to macrumors to see when the next iPhone will be released? I'm hoping maybe I can sell a week before for about $500 (4S 64GB w/ Applecare). Then buy an out of contract 64GB 5 LTE w/ Applecare..

I'm willing to do anything to get away from Verizon's garbage 3G speeds.

I will keep my iPhone 4 due to the fact that it's unlocked and I don't want to pay $650 (plus tax) for an unlocked iPhone 5/whatever it's going to be called.
