Apple offers three capacities ranging from $199 - $399 (on-contract) and $649 - $849 (unlocked), which model are you referring to? I think the prices will remain same as the existing ones.

Seeing as how the current phone costs $650, $750, and $850 I don't see what people are shocked about. So something leaked somewhere? For all we know that means all 3 prices will drop by $50 and only the highest one leaked.

OMG. People don't understand anything these days. Working retail, with mail-in-rebates, is MURDER. you'd think no one had a cell phone...

I have some family members who own iPhones and don't know how much they cost. its crazy. Had my uncle tell me replacing his phone was going to cost $1,100 WITH a contract renewal.

I think part of the problem is that the people complaining don't understand contract pricing. They think everyone is going to have to pay $800 not realizing the contract prices will stay the same as always.
