Ok, this is probably going to be a personal preference sort of question that really depends on the individual, but I wanted to know, when you change your phone, how many of you also opt to get new numbers? True for businesses and people who use the phone feature a lot, changing numbers is pretty much a no-no but sometimes I get a kick of getting a new number. Plus it helps when you're going Uber and Lyft. But yeah, How many of you opt to change your number when you get new phones?

Not nevery ever. LOL.

What does it have to do with getting a new phone? You can request a new number anytime.

The only time I've ever changed my number was shortly after I moved from southern California to northeast Ohio.

I was witness to a pretty bad car accident where a driver ran a red light and got T-boned by a guy coming through the intersection. I immediately pulled over and dialed 9-1-1 and was routed to the 9-1-1 call center down in SoCal rather than my local one. I had to wait for them to transfer me to the correct one to report the accident and request Police and EMS.

Since then, I've kept and NE Ohio number as I still live in the area. If I were to move again I would likely change it, however.

And you can always get new additional ones through something like Google Voice without even changing the one you have...if that's somehow something you might really need or want.

I've had the same cell number since I got my first cell phone back in like 1996. No plans of ever changing it.
