The current iPhone is 7,6mm so it ain't gonna be thinner.
It will stay the sameand the low cost model will be thicker.
That's my point! The iPhone 5 model will be "in the wild" as 7.6 and 8.2

fingerprint sensor?
"Why didn't you call an ambulance? You have 3rd degree burns all over your chest and hands"
"My iPhone was locked and the only way to unlock it was with my burned off fingerprint"
"oh...."

The finger print sensor will probably integrated into the home buttonWould be cool to link that with passwords or passcodes so you don't have to enter them all the time. More secure too.
Oh I do find it funny that they'll come in multiple colors for the cheaper ones. Guess that's just to entice parents to buy their kids iPhones instead of ipod touches?
It is a well-known fact that with a given photo sensor size, and therefore limited light coming in, adding more pixels just reduces the pixel size to the level where each pixel just receives noise because there isn't enough light. There is for every sensor size an optimal number of pixels, and for most cheap cameras that optimum is at six megapixels. Most cheap cameras have _too many_ pixels for their sensor size.
Which Nexus are you referring to? The Nexus S (5MP), The Galaxy Nexus (5MP) or the Nexus 4? (8MP)
I have just bought the iphone 5 a couple of months ago, if they put the same insides on a new iphone 5 at half the price I will not be happy and I can assure you it will be my last iphone. Plenty of choice now out there.
When you buy expensive top of the range products ypu dont expect them to be replaced in six months and at half the price.
I am sure im not alone on this.
Why is it so important that a phone is re-designed every year? Especially when many people are on 2 year contracts. For me where Apple seems to be falling behind is in software and services, not hardware. That's where we need to see improvements, IMO.
