No no no. It's September 5th.

The new iPods, which were released last year BEFORE the end of the promotion, were not included. They don't wait until the promotion is over.

If they don't have stock, you may get a new one anyway. The channels are about empty and September 5th is 10 days away.

Hoping it's the 5th

Just listed my three iPods on E-Bay. 7 day auctions so will ship them on the 4th or morning of the 5th and then order three ones on the afternoon of the 5th :)

If there is a shuffle or nano 2G can i get the listing i'm shopping around

I've had a chance to think about it and there is a possibility that the nano itself will get a hardware "refresh." The width and height of the player stays the same, but thanks to more modern electronics the height of the player drops about 1/2" (12.7 mm) to make it more portable; the size of the display and Click Wheel also stays the same, too. If this occurs we'll see only 4 GB and 8 GB models, priced at US$150 and US$200 respectively.

As for the shuffle, don't be surprised if we see a slightly larger version with a very small display akin to Creative Labs' new Zen Stone Plus player, available in 1 GB and 2 GB capacities for US$80 an US$120 respectively.

I dunno about that. The current form factor has not been around very long at all.
