If I get this( I don't know now though) I will be getting it for the 3g.

I am impressed by the response. Good to see a nice snug fit.

Will there be other colors? I'd love a yellow, like the Revo. I am torn now between the fuze and slider. iSkin products have always provided excellent protection.

Hey Everyone,

Right now the only place to get the Fuze is online. The Apple Store has not yet picked this item up yet for retail.

We do offer free shipping over $75.00 so if you got the Fuze + revoclip and the iSkin XLR's or X1's wed be picking up the tab on your shipping. Not sure if you guys knew about that.

Thanks

Kristian

Kristian-

Do you anticipate launching the 3G fuze on or near July 11th?

Who's selling this in the UK?

When can I expect this product in the UK? I've googled lots of resellers who claim to be "iskin" resellers but none appear to have the Fuze case. Ordering from iskin directly will take an age, although that appears to be the only option but I'd rather purchase from UK in case of any problems as noted in previous posts.

So sad......if this is another example of a company spokesperson contributing to the boards, only to be rebuked by management or otherwise develop cold feet.

Kristian, we hardly knew you, but please come back if you are still around.

Just to let you know, I want to BUY some sort of case to protect the iPhone on launch day. I'd like a Fuze, but if you aren't going to tell us when to expect it, then why wait? Unless I have some idea of when the Fuze will be available, I'll probably buy whatever AT&T has on hand and that will be it.....

Hey Everyone,

Sorry guys for the delay in my responses- Just got back from California @ the apple offices to submit our cases for testing. Apple has introduced strict guidelines for iPod and iPhone accessories that we all now have to follow. So basically what they are doing is that they put our cases on the iPhone and make sure full functionality is in place etc etc so that we all can work together to keep the quality of our product tip top. Unfortunately of course they do not give us access to the actual phone - this is one thing that no body gets access to - we have to buy ours the same way everyone else does.

We all here at iSkin sat in our board room watching the :apple:WWDC just like all of you to see if all the "rumors" were true with the pictures circulating the net. Then we are working with the dimensions that apple provided after that to begin our design process.

As for the fuze for 1st gen iPhone there are no plans to release this to our reseller market. We are keeping this under www.iskin.com. As for the "fuze2" No unfortunately we will not be launching this product on the 11th. But what you can do is gohere where you can sign up to be notified once we have final product ready. We will be sending an email out to everyone who does sign up to have access to the product available well before anyone else - so a little perk there.

As for our friends in the UK - We have great news for you. I am currently working with our team to develop a UK Version of the site. We are in talks with our Resellers in the UK to help with fulfillment so that ordering from our website will be much quicker and easier and more cost effective for you our customer. Expect to see this early September/October.

We are planning to do this for every country we have presence in the very near future...

Hope i've answered all of your questions and trust me im not going anywhere - so if i dont reply right away is because a Marketing Managers job is never done :D

So far, I am reallllllly loving the fuze case. My roomies have the revo on their iphones and they love it. It has a cover that you clip on and off, which is perfect for a girl with lots of crap in her purse :)

My iSkin fuze case arrived this morning (ordered directly from the iSkin website).

As a UK customer I was a bit worried about import duties, but it arrived very quickly with UPS without any duty, so has cost about £30 in all.

Forum reviews of the fuze have not been that glowing, but the iLounge review was very positive. My inclination at the moment is to go with iLounge.

The photos of the case I have seen so far do not really do it justice - it looks quite cheap in the photos whereas in real-life it looks (IMHO) good, keeping some of the design aspects of the iPhone itself. The smooth black back looks similar to photos of the 3G iPhone (minus the Apple logo), so helps make the old first gen phone look a bit more up-to-date! (and helps me refrain from upgrading until the 32GB model comes out!)

The case also feels good. I find a naked iPhone too slippy, whereas silicone skins can be a bit too grippy. However, like Goldilocks' porridge, the fuze feels to have just the right amout of grip.

However it is not perfect. I'm suffering with a bit of a 'gap' between the two halves of the case at the top (as reported earlier). Hopefully after some use and/or a few fittings this will go away. The buttons operate fine but have lost nearly all their tactile feedback (which they still had with my old iSkin revo case). I'm hoping I will get used to this.

Note that I haven't used the screen protector - I don't usually bother with them on glass screens.

So my first impressions are generally good. I will report back after a couple of weeks use.

Kristian,

I had a iskin Revo on my 1st gen iPhone and it was excellent!

There are alot of people who would really like you to produce a Revo for the 3G iPhone. I would certainly buy one!

Please............:D

P.S
My wife has the pink iskin Revo and loves it too :D

Out of interest, i wonder if the original Revo would be a good enough fit on the 3G?

Hi Kristian -

I realize that there might not be a way for you to say this, but do you think you could estimate when it might be coming out for 3G? You said not the 11th, but other sources have said sometime this month. Can we expect that?

I really want the fuze, but I'm not willing to go that long without a case. If it doesn't come out soon i'll probably be forced to buy a different case.

Ryan

After reading vespagirl's followup, I decided to drop the cash and order my Fuze. Overall I'm pretty satisfied with the case. Not only does it look great, but it also feels very nice too. The back portion of the case has a very soft feel to it.

The fitment at the top of the case is not as bad as it was when vespagirl first posted pictures, but I think it will start to fit in after a few days. I believe the reason for the fitment issue is because the rubber inner layer may still be "molding" itself onto the iPhone.

Not so Great

My turn...I have now been using the Fuze for about 3 weeks. It has some thickness issues. #1: Trying to turn the silent switch on/off is next to impossible with man fingers. Women should have no problem if using long fingernails. Guys..your going to have to use a key or similar object to turn it on or off.

Also due to the thickness of the case, typing letters is a pain for all the letters next to the edge. I guarantee you will loose speed as you have to come at the key sideways to hit it. Smaller fingers again should have less problems but anything related to the edge is now limited due to the thickeness of the case.

Last, the silver plastic front is already showing signs of blemishes and gouges due to the soft plastic. The corners are already worn and rough, the plastic dents pretty easily.

The Good...its still on my iPhone. I love the tight fit and mine snapped together perfectly and firmly. It feels secure and comfortable in my hands and i like the black rubberized feel. My phone is well protected. I also LOVE the Dock Port cover and that it is integrated into the case (wish it was on the Revo as I lost the loose one within a week) and snaps back into the port when you are done. Buttons require a little firmer push to use but that has not been a problem for me.

The only things that will eventually cause me to dump it in the tested and failed box are: Thickness that causes typing errors and unable to access my silent button with man fingers.

For everyone that was looking for a Revo for 3G - it looks like that's exactly what we're getting. Check out the main page www.iskin.com - it should come out in July they say.

Now we have a complicated decision. Which should I buy? The Revo or the Fuze?

help?
