H2O would be another good band to do a commerical on. If I picked a song it would be "Guilty By Association".

But at the begining you see them plug in their iPod and load the song and they all just start going mad.

Man..or Astroman would be good as it's surf rock like Dick Dale but has old scfi audio dubbed in. Best sound would be "The Sound Waves are Reversing" In the song they say "Why has the music stopped? Look at the meter the sound waves are reversing" The music then actual reverses and just at that point Apple could put up it's logo and such and say something like "Always innovating" or something like that.

I'm sure the superbowl commerical will probably have folks using G5's and PB's and iPods in it.

And if you want to get some girls into indi rock they could always team up with Liz Phair as she loves the iPod and even said on Tech Tv she wouldn't go anywhere without it!? Good celebrity commerical.

They need to do a switch commerical for the Va Tech SC guy...that would be one best switches ever!

The Hives would be another good band as well.

I could see another one where you have Minibar playing in the background "Choked Up" Has boy and girl chatting using iChat and iSight and then at the end they get together. At the end Apple could put up "Always bringing folks together."

Then you could always do a commerical about musicans using the hardware and software to make their music..could also do one for indi film makers since most them do use it.

Need commerical about new G5 Xserve. Maybe something similar to what IBM runs on Tech Tv but not the same.

I could see a commerical showing someone using the new voice recorder to lectures in school and then later to record a live band..but it may have to be done through belkin..as I've never seen tv belkin commerical.

If they wanted to do euro commerical they could do it with The International Noise Conspiracy and probably the Living End.

Go buy the real thing. One of the best albums ever made.

was that chad and pharell OR pharel and chad???

nice to see the neptunes on board with apple. the only reference to the computer world i've heard is pharell referencing gates on snoops latest.

weird that the Clones album isn't available now...it was when it first came out...strange.

your typical "techno" remix, but not bad. something from the Clones album would have been nice though.

BEP has referenced apple on a few albums. they're very different now. whoever said they were new is wacked. and N.E.R.D. is a new sound. the neptunes sound has only been around a few years.

nice commercial. gotta get me an iPod!

peace.

Using punk music in a commercial goes against what punk stands for. Used to anyways.

Apple is doing a great job with these ads.

The version is the Jason Nevins Classic Club Blaster Mix of Rock Star.

It seems to have been cutoff & resonance filtered because it's not quite the same as the CD version (maybe a bit of post editing by Apple going on).

N.E.R.D. stands for No-One Ever Really Dies in case you were all wondering.

Chad Hugo & Pharrell Williams write some very interesting stuff which has renewed my interest in HipHop/Rap. Their blend of interesting beats combined with 1970 style miami vice sounds prove a working combo

I had downloaded almost all of the tracks from "In search of..." from Kazaa and Gnutella. When I finally purchased the album I find that it's a second release of the album with real percussion instead of 808/909 drum sounds. Now I have 2 versions of each song and am still trying to obtain the original release. :)

****! i didn't realize the original were even released!!! was it an official release? i heard they were pulled 'cause chad and pharell weren't satisfied with the cheesy drum programming...

the neptunes are THE most sought after porducers right now...have you heard Kenna? Produced by Chad; freakin' amazing.

peace.

1. NERD
2. BEP
3. Jet

Sorry, I just like NERD better. Weird thing was, I was playing SSX 3 when I heard their named with BEP, etc. I Googled them, then looked up at Acquisition. I was always looking for that one version I heard in the iPod commercial and SSX 3. Thanks for the advice. Bought it.

NERD and BEP don't seem to be rap to me.
And I don't think rap will work well with an iPod commercial. Let's see how someone dances to Hey Ya. iPod commercials are supposed to be a little more upbeat and faster. It's easier to have people dancing to something like NERD, even better with BEP and JET, that 50 cent. Sorry, just IMO.

NERD was my fav. :p
