And also I don't think they are handling it with white gloves. They just definitely don't want to release something that doesn't work like they did with maps. Bugs are expected though, as in every version, but small ones.
 
I have been waiting impatiently for quite a while. Now I bet the reason is that, 2 camps haven't quite settled on if the new itunes should have some skeuormorphism style stitches.

I doubt that very much. They showed off the UI at the iPhone 5 event, nothing skeuormorphic about it.
 
If it were to be delayed, I'm pretty sure the banner would have been updated by now

dunno whether this means anything, but there are two different page titles for the same iTunes page on the US and UK site when I'm sure they both used to say what the UK site said. Does it mean that its coming today?

P.S bout time Scott Forstall is out of Apple! his skeuomorphisms were doing my head in! Jon Ive all the way!

I would much rather they give a late date and shoot for early in the month release. Even though it's ready in October, tell us it's gonna be released November and then release it sometime the first week of November. I think they would avoid most of the complaints that way.

I am excited for this new release. I've noticed my iTunes to be slowing down quite a bit lately and I'm not sure what the root cause of it is. After leaving iTunes dormant for a few hours, I come back to play a song, click on the song or click on the playlist, etc.....pause......beachball for about 15-20 seconds, then it registers the click. My first guess would be that I store all of my iTunes library on my OWC Mercury Elite Pro Qx2 and it's accessed via Firewire 800. But it's only been doing this for the past month or two. It wasn't like this when I first started using it back in April of this year. My library hasn't grown considerably other than maybe by 20-30GB.

10AM PDT I think, so in just under 5 hours if the whispers are to believed. Lets hope so! :D

I'm hoping it fixes that iTunes Match problem where it gives me clean versions of songs instead of unedited versions.

No, I'm aware of the expression, was just wondering what your sources were...I hadn't noticed any such rumors. :p
 
I love this imaginary version of iTunes Apple just released. It's so much faster and the new UI is great.
