SHAtter isn't the jailbreak. It's the bootrom exploit they've found that enables code to be run. For now the exploit code needs to be uploaded with every reboot. The exploit allows them to mess around with the bootrom find a jailbreak, but it's not a jailbreak itself.
This. An actual jailbreak will be better suited and better developed if it comes from the iPhone Dev Team.SHAtter isn't the jailbreak. ...now i know i just have to wait just a few weeks maybe to get a full jailbreak (untethered).
This is a tethered jb
Here's why;Why do people say it's a tethered jailbreak? Chronic Dev's blog specifically states, and I quote, "We have not yet announced if this is tethered or untethered," meaning it is possible it's untethered.
If this is tethered I'm keeping 4.0...

Interesting. Can't wait to see how it all pans out.
I had a tethered jailbreak on my 3Gs for ~6 months earlier this year. Wasn't a big deal. Between being able to respring and 'free memory' I only needed to 'reboot' maybe once a month, and most of those were self inflicted via a 'Reset Network Settings' or a Cydia App install/upgrade. Of those handful of times, only 2 were when I was 20 minutes away from my laptop.
