Did you guys notice the poster hanging behind Phil? It's an image of an hourglass. Hmmm, another clue???
yeah, i noticed this too. i don't remeber Apple ever using an hourglass before. Then it hit me, the Windows mouse thing! We have a beachball or a watch, and they have an hourglass. Perhaps this will be a Windows compatible device? i hope not but who knows? maybe they will start making the iApps available for Windows as free downloads, like Quicktime. Maybe to entice potential "switchers"? i'm guessing obviously, but that's the best i could come up with.

What about that time is represented by an hourglass? With a camera, you capture the times of your life. Digital camera based on a 5 gig firewire drive.

3 megapixels
2x optical zoom
6x digital
5gig hd
usb and fw connections
499

Free leather case and engraving as well ;)

why, of course, it's iShake...

hey, I told MaacRumors before, there's going to be iShake...
Why they never put it up, I don't know...
Here are some pics...
(evidently it integrates with iPhoto and iMovie)
And, yes, Apple bought Shake :D

Interesting to say the least, but what does iShake have to do with the unidentified piece of hardware (possible fake) in the first post.

my 2 cents

1. the pics look real

2. the sequence makes sense.

shot 1: phil (wow, i feel like i know him reading everyone's posts) introduces a new product.

shot 2: close up on product
(camera, iwalk, photoframe -- eeeeergh! )

shot 3: plug it in

shot 4: synchronize with your favourite digital photo app

3. i doubt very much that anyone could make a digital photoframe that i'd want. i mean, why would you want one? yuck. a tacky waste of money. apple make functional stuff and a photoframe is not functional. a slimline camera is.
also, who would put firewire on a photoframe? unless it had a decent hard drive

i think the ones with Phil Schiller are nothing to get excited about but the iShake ones look pretty convincing to me.

This is obviously photoshopped! This is my creation, check it out it only took a few minutes. And I think the Schiller pic is an old one.

I am glad I am not the only one here with some sense. Too bad it takes a newbie poster to keep it real since everyone else has been pulled in my the dark side of phony rumours.

I remember once I tried to pay out a few people on here by saying I was friends with Jobs and he had a G6 in a G4 case and the G5 was being released blah blah blah. There were people who took me for real. You can tell people here ANYTHING and they will believe it.

Digital Device

If you will recall MacRumors posted a rumor saying that Apple was to add to there Digital Lifestyle Devices with a Digital Picture Frame. Note that this is of perfect size. The iPhoto shot is in slideshow mode enabling the user to view his slideshow. It is USB/Firewire compatible. Sounds good to me.

I am really 12 years old. I just said I was 13.

Congratulation to those with too much time

Yep, they're fake. I salute those who magnified the images, compared them to previous videos and yes, even the guy who set up his OWN HOMEPAGE to disprove my images. Kudos dude, we're on the same time-wasting pier.

As for how, well check the other dude's homepage for the major details... as for the small things that were overlooked:

1) Philip's shirt was color-changed in photoshop, with some minor alterations with the healing brush to remove an extra button on the neckline, and some of the wrinkles to prevent it from being immediately identified from the ipod video (all the frames came from the ipod video)

2) The background was from a web site promoting backdrop designs (i dont remember which, i did a google search for 'photographer backdrop' or something to find it)

3) Image if altered ipod WAS just as the other guy said, with a USB connector photographed from my iMac keyboard. Good job by the way on uncovering this one!

4) The imac as well, kudos on the uncovering of this.

5) The hand connecting the cable from the ipod to the ibook was exactly from an ipod movie frame. I rotated the hand a bit and removed wrinkles from the thumb to prevent people from immediately identifying it.

In all, I was impressed on how serious this was taken. It made the front of macrumors, which is validation enough for me. :)

Also, this should serve as a reminder to those who feel that providing press credentials to rumor sites will in no way deter apple's ability to keep a secret. There will always be guys like me with too much time, photoshop, and a willingness to see how gullible users get near macworld time. Iwalks, titanium towers, even quark os x betas aside.

Again, thanks for the fun. I'm sure others will crop up soon. This iShake looks too iMovie to me, for example. I know apple just bought this program over a month ago, and now we see a beta that is more aquafied than final cut pro? Oh yeah, we all could be making twice our current salaries if we put these talents to more productive uses.

Finally, just remember: we all love Apple. Have fun.

Text in iPhoto?

Can anyone make out the text next to the camera icon in iPhoto? You know, the area where it usually states what make/model camera is connected and how many photos it contains?

Zooming in offered zero help and I don't have any photo-editing tools to sharpen the image enough to read the text.

This just in from Steve himself to be released at MYNY. The new TiMac... an iMac G4 with MegaWide Titanium screen.

PS. The iPhoto text

For the guy posting after my confession, i had typed "Apple iSnap Camera" and then blurred it.

.. love the tiMac!

timallen, you must be really bored to make such artwork like that! :D

Folks, let's get this Philip Schiller thing straight. During the time of the iBook 500, he was the Vice President of Worldwide Product Marketing within Apple. I'm not too sure if he still is.

PS has worn a similar shirt with the same color collar, but in the iBook 500 video the color was a little lighter.

I think that this iShake is a bunch of iSh!t. :D

Make????
Artwork????

I am sure I have NO idea what you are talking about!

;)

Re: Text in iPhoto

I was actually writing my post as you were posting yours. I thought I made out the word "Apple" in iPhoto - nice attention to detail!

>Make????
Artwork????
So you are saying you didn't make this? (And if it's anything Apple related, it's artwork!) If you didn't, then at least give credit. Then work on your sentence structure. :D

>I am sure I have NO idea what you are talking about!
You should now, Bubba!

could be... maybe?

I want it to be a pda, BUT the icon in the corner looks like a camera. So it could be a camera. BUT they could be doing a Sony move by integrating a camera into a PDA heh heh heh.. I know eye hates me by now with the PDA thing, but hey i can dream... who knows.... But Sony and Apple shared technology together. We all know it was probably fireware tech. but hey other things could have been included....

whoops!

i didn't know that these iShake pics have already been seen and are already deemed fake. they really fooled me. i guess i'm just suffering from MWNY fever. my mistake.

for the guys who are saying "the guy in the picture", thats Phil Schiller get a clue. For the guy who said iPhoto and the iBook have never been promoed together, the iBook is what the iPhoto commercial CENTERED around. duh. i say this looks mighty real, altho it also seems somewhat easy to design something white and then put three apple things around it. theres power in threes. good job on the fake.
