>MWNY fever.
Easy, big guy. I think around the time of expos everyone starts making these crazy predictions and unusual rumors, thinking that he/she may be right. And, as Gelfin suggested elsewhere, these people try to use ad hog reasoning to prove them right, when we all try to prove them wrong. Those that prove them wrong are the sane folk! :D Just kidding...

I have a feeling you aren't alone, tjwett, and I have three explanations why. The first is because of al the iWalk rumors that have been spreading about, along with fake pictures (and some excellent mock-ups). The second would be all these people with "dreamland" posts, such as 5GHz G5s, or THz processors, or "...and one more thing,..." expected responses by SJ about some ridiculous rumor.

The third may seem less obvious...but have you noticed how many guests have been coming to the boards lately? It seems to be that there is an avg. of about 30 to 40 members, and around 200 guests. The server even F'ed up on me a couple of times, saying it was busy. I still can't imagine what the servers are going to be like in a week or so.

Good job wett never let anybody have fun... I know that man... let us have fun. Besides MW is next week. speculation is half the fun even if we know it is all not happening.

So you are saying you didn't make this? (And if it's anything Apple related, it's artwork!) If you didn't, then at least give credit. Then work on your sentence structure. :D

>I am sure I have NO idea what you are talking about!
You should now, Bubba!

What are you talking about, I told you, it came from Steve himself. It is from the new Promo shots which he sent to me.

yeah... whatever.... i am not stupid... it has been established that this is a mock up.... whats the point with the saracasm.

>What are you talking about, I told you, it came from Steve himself.
My eyes were obviously locked on the future product and not on the word "Steve", since the picture is bigger. :D

>It is from the new Promo shots which he sent to me.
Can he also send you information on how much that weighs? I'm guessing it weighs your creative thought process and how bored you are to not make a separate thread for this! :D

whats the point in making a seperate thread. What does that do for the forum. We're here to talk about apple not beat eachother down.

Yeah the shirt did look a bit odd, especially the blur between his hands.

well the prospect of another lifestyle device is very nice...but that teaser shot of it's connection is a bit contrived wouldn't u think?

it looked real

full credit for the fake galopagos
like i said it looked real
you had most of us guessing

d'ya get the same thrill as a virus author out of wasting our time?

I don't really mind it as it at least gives us (the Macrumors community) something to talk about. Even if it is fake.

something ot be said for boredom

I had a lousy sunday, got bored, and opened up photoshop. I wanted a little piece of satifaction, iWalk style, but it was also to see how big I could get it going. I have other images that i didnt put up yet (and wont since the thrill is gone).. one being a Dell laptop running what looks like an XP scaled down version of itunes, another being a set of two towers and an lcd imac, connected via airport, collectively rendering a final cut pro file (i stopped work on that one when i saw the iShake fakes)..

It was something to do... not to mention i got good space on the front page of macrumors for a while...

sorry...

I'm sorry, I didn't realize there already was a thread on iShake...
Possibly I never saw mention of it or got any feedback from Rumors

Posting fake images is a good way to get into the ignore list of the admins.

re: iShake & the images...

the first 2 looked real...but the 3rd one just happened to be blurry?!

I don't know if I'm going for it either...but we'll see soon enough right? ;)

Well, eye, does this quote coming from the guy who posted the iShake images answer your question. :D

my talents

are not what i was touting here. I did want to see how far epoplewould take a series of rumors. I posted 3, i still have several other unpublished photoshopped items, but i wanted to see how much effort had to be put in until people believed it:

1) The 'bad' g4 case took 35 minutes, mostly through searching google for images (i was trying for a white keyboard i could fit in)

2) The Philip video clips took 30 minutes, and very little effort with the healing brush to convince several here.

3) The Quark OS X beta screenshot was the most interesting. It didnt receive any 'fake' opinions. The only responses I got concerned quark's latecoming to os x.

now THIS IS THE REAL new Lifestyle device:

New Apple PDA?

Maybe it has something to do with the PDA Apple is trying to get produced in Taiwan - here is the quote:

"Separately, Apple is seeking production of personal digital assistants (PDAs) and some computer peripherals, such as its wireless communications access points, namely airports, in Taiwan. The new acquisition of Apple's eMac order by Hon Hai further shows that Taiwan's IT companies have won high profiles in Apple's contract-making policy."
