Imagine if this thing came out 5 years ago with 30 pin connector docks..... Because I totally want to upgrade my $400 desk when the next iDevice connection standard comes out

Yes! Totally why I came here to comment.
The desk itself may be awesome, but as soon you cut iDevice-specific slots into it, you've just shortened its usable life (at least for that particular function).
I, for one, don't care to upgrade my desks that often.

I love how they found room to house a stapler and give it it's own cut-out section.

A digital office totally can't survive without staples. ;)

But then, they switched from the Swingline to the Boston stapler, but I kept my Swingline stapler because it didn't bind up as much, and I kept the staples for the Swingline stapler and it's not okay because if they take my stapler then I'll, I'll, I'll set the building on fire...

I've got 3 Swingline Staplers, normal and two large ones for construction plans and such. Agreed on the durability of them, and I'm from NY so anything with the name "Boston" is just wrong for me...

I keep my staplers in a undershelf basket - $7, made in Italy...

Am I the only one who thinks putting the cup holder on the same side of the desk as the docks is a pretty poor design choice? What if your aim is bad and you end up spilling instead of putting the cup in its holder?

Also the mouse mat is on the wrong side for left-handed people. Is there an option to put it on the other side?

All that is moot for me anyway, because if I could afford to blow that kind of money on a desk it would probably not be that one.

And of course what happens if/when Apple changes its dock specifications again? Where is your iPhone 8 with its USB-C connector going to plug in?
