The pricing is nuts. Glad I got my M5 Max laptop when i did. An M5 Pro Mac Mini is now clearly more costly than my M5 Max MBP 16. Insane.

Honestly if this continues the future of computing is probably mobile phones, tablets and basic Linux boxes.

The 256GB upgrade that costs 4K is pretty eye opening to the severity of this RAM shortage. I was hoping they would have a more affordable 128GB option but it doesn't look like they do (for the M5 Ultra).

Yea the M5 Max MBP seems like it was the sweet spot. These Studio prices are probably closer to what the rumored MB Ultra is going to be like.

I'd be surprised if anyone reading MacRumors missed the price increased. Sorry, the vogue term for price increases is modified prices.

Happy with what I have right now, and even happier given these price rises.
Word. I got my m4 max studio on sale for 1799 at B&H with the 'we pay the sales tax' credit card deal lol. It seems like I picked the best possible time to upgrade when I did that last year!

I’ll say it here first: The prices is not really a problem - get used to it. Maybe even a small majority of the western hemisphere population has SO MUCH money these days from stocket markets that just continues going UP regardless of real world problems, interest rates, wars and MASSIVE depth risk. A
dd to that their massive gains on real estate in the big cities, and you have a recipie for hyper inflation in the coming years.

Will be canceling my M4 order that thing is literally not expected to ship till like freakin october. Gonna do with M6 32/256 and upgrade ssd myself since I bought that ahead of time anyways.

My previous favourite Mac was an LC 520. Luckily I love my M4 mini even more as I’m going to be keeping it for a looooong time by the looks of it.

Speaking of things Apple may have missed...
This is from today's video - a niche customer requirement indeed, just don't drop the soap guys! 😂

Strange that when the G4 Powermacs were unveiled eons ago, they were jaw droppers and everyone and their cat wanted one - yet today they are 100X slower than a Mac mini and the excitement for the mini is : nice upgrade — and cats aren’t meowing for them.

SSD Pricing - As Daring Fireball points out, upgrading a Mac mini with a 2TB SSD costs $1,000, which is more than the $899 base price of the machine. Upgrading to the 4TB SSD for the M5 Pro costs $1,800, which is $100 over the price of the base machine.
$1K for 2TB SSD upgrade? Wow! I knew prices had increased but didn't realize by how much.

Anyone in the UK using finance to buy it? I tried earlier and it didn’t route correctly to the finance provider. It failed after an hour or so.
