Just go ahead and send an email to Timmy or Phil my a** for confirmation. This is not terribly hard comparing to the difficulty for Apple to release a Mac Pro (teasing).

Apple is going nowhere, all they're working on is iphone, watch bands and minecraft on apple tv. Oh and emojis of course.

Makes sense since it's better for business.

But I really don't want Apple to go the Steve Ballmer route of just making the board of trustees happy.

The article said it is a rumor and to take it with a grain of salt. We've already exceeded our allotment for sodium many times over:)

It's not a rumor, it's the SAME rumor (MacWorld UK), just echoed as it has been many other places. Both this and the original rumor have almost no content backing it up: something about ports popped up somewhere in some code. Fine, but that's it.

I actually do think they will release a new version (in their own sweet, sweet time). But don't get all excited. According to my super-secret insider, it will be the same form-factor, with updated ports and bumped specs. Those waiting for a bumped version of the present tube will finally have something to buy. Otherwise, the usual wailing and gnashing of teeth will commence.

I'm not surprised at all since Phil said it was their form factor for the next 10 years. Hopefully, they will have the kinks out of it this time. Maybe the kinks are giving them a real hard time.

Why is techno buff getting info from Macworld? They need to do their research. I tried to email the Macworld editor..but she's been away for maternity leave.

I see that the RX460 4GiB I have in my eGPU would only be 5% slower than the W7000.

OK, I have it connected with TB1.

By considering what Apple did to the new MacBook Pro. Even if they release a MP 7,1. Most likely that will be...

25% smaller in volume.

Reduced to 4kg.

With some poor AMD low to mid level GPU rebranded as a Pro graphic card.

A new colour option.

Touch ID at the back of the machine which you can hardly reach.

All display, USB, Ethernet, HDMI ports are missing (but the 3.5mm port still there).

Build in (non upgradable) DDR 3 ECC RAM (hopefully still have the 64GB option).

Better speaker.

Some faster CPU and Flash storage and then ....... double the current nMP's price!

Don't forget the price increase...
