I find it interesting how they chose to convey a left-handed user's setup - with mouse and styli on the left.
They say left-handed people tend to make for better artists (it's a right hemisphere thing). I have to think that was intentional, in such a carefully curated shot.
Left or right the shot is totally bogus, any Wacom (clearly in shot) user would have their tablet front and centre and their keyboard off to one side, I edit in Premier, and every thing else like that as a matter of fact by default

It's an ad, not a documentary.

Can you imagine how long it takes for the OS to wake 8 screens from sleep, and then how long it will take you to re-arrange your windows on 8 screens after the OS shrinks all your open windows to the lower left third of each screen?!!! Magic!

Based on the screenshot you posted, I can see you haven't toggle the "show all resolutions" button. Try that and see if there is the resolution you were looking for.
Unfortunately, all that does is show the useless low res options. This is on my 2017 27" iMac running Ventura.

Show all resolutions off:

As you can see, 2304x1296 is still conspicuously absent. IMO, the jump from 2560x1440 to 2048x1152 is too big, both in terms of increased text size and in terms of loss of screen real estate on a 27" 16:9 screen. It's a weird choice on Apple's part, from a usability standpoint.

2048 --> 2304 = Increase of 12.5% over 2048 - Not natively allowed on Apple's 27" screens
2048 --> 2560 = Increase of 25% over 2048
2560 --> 2880 = Increase of 12.5% over 2560

But as mentioned, with my 28.2" Huawei MateView, macOS offers the analogous 2304x1536 resolution, which is in the Goldilocks zone for me for this screen width. This Huawei screen is same width as a 27" Apple Studio Display or 27" iMac, but has more vertical height as it's a 3:2 screen instead of 16:9.

You can run custom resolutions in macOS using third party software, but those apps sometimes can cause other problems.

Can you even run macOS at 240Hz? Is that over USB-C Thunderbolt or HDMI 2.1?
I am running my MacBook Pro 14 M1 Max with a Corsair Xeneon Flex 45in OLED screen (3440 x 1440) @ 240Hz via a Corsair Thunderbolt 4 Dock. The monitor is connected via USB-C DP-ALT to the Dock. HDR does not work at 240Hz though. I have to dial down to 100Hz to make HDR work. Wondering as well, if this would work on M2 Pro/Max via the HDMI output as my monitor also has two HDMI 2.1 connectors on it as well.

Can we all take a moment to appreciate how this is all being generated from a single chip, with integrated graphics and memory?

🤯

I get that people aren't happy with the Mac Pro's inability to add memory or external graphics but holy 💩 this is crazy.
Who is running so many screens?!

Lol

...and not a single cable/cord/wire in view. My desk is a spider-web of cables, and cluttered with paper notes, candy wrappers, pencils, and an empty bottle of wine. :rolleyes:

Good news for those running 5 studio displays that need more screen space.
I hope that was sarcasm. I'm going to guess that there isn't a single person in the world running five studio displays.

But I did enjoy the trader popping in and saying they run six displays. Almost certainly not studio displays since they would just be looking at some graphs on them for trading and not need studio display quality. Not to mention they would want to mount lighter displays in some sort of 3 x 2 configuration of stacked displays.
