HINT, so did apple.
No, Apple build their own chips with hardware accelerators for specific tasks, which for example made watching high-res video one of the least battery consuming tasks on Apple Silicon. Encryption, Image Signal Processor, Neural Engine. All these things are not just crazy fast, but incredibly power efficient.

Apple did the exact same thing when they tested their battery to get 15 to 18 hrs depending on model. they put the screen to minimum, they turned off every setting and used 720p video playback, just as every other manufacturer does. They all play the same games. I guess some people are just more gullible than others.

The screen is set to 50% brightness in their testing, both on their own and others' devices.

Video playback is at 1080p.

That’s not what has been reported from various other places including max tech and other apple centric sites. They even say take apple’s claims with a gigantic grain of salt. Apple likes to stretch the truth about their products.
