I pre-ordered the 2018 Mac Book air.

Out of the box, I've been experiencing poor battery life. I'm getting about 6 hour battery life.

To fully charge, my charging estimate is typically 3hrs.
On one evening while on sleep, my battery completely drained.

Today, I started my morning with 60% battery, I've used for a little over an hour and I'm at 13%

Any one experiencing this issue? Any suggestions?

It is perfect normal

"Today, I started my morning with 60% battery, I've used for a little over an hour and I'm at 13%"

Not normal

I take it the laptop has completed the usual setup activities which can cause this - i.e. spotlight & photos indexing, getting dropbox synched etc?

If you click on the battery icon, are there any apps using significant energy?

Anything rogue in activity monitor?

I got my Air on Friday and I think today was the first day where all of the above had finally completed - its been on battery since about 9am and is showing 34% battery left.

I spoke with Apple Support,
they did the typical diagnostics over the phone, checked my CPU usage. Chrome was using most of my CPU. with only one page open...

They called my nearest Apple Store and setup a swap out.

I guess appreciate the willingness to swap out :D

Hi. I have exact same problem. Did it help to swap?
