Awesome, but wait we are all the whiners and complainers and the naysayers now!!! I want to see how they are going to spin this in a negative way this is going to be interesting.

minor spec upgrade and price drop how dare those jerks at apple do this to us!

Gentlemen, the Macbook Air isn't mean to be a powerful computer. It's an average user, everday computer.

Step up to the MBPr if you need more power.

These Airs are great and price point is better. Get over it.

So what do you want instead?
You want Apple to release a Broadwell based MBA? Oops, Intel hasn't released Broadwell yet.
You want Apple to release a 2 GHz MBA? You might want a 3 hr battery life, but turns out most customers do not.

Look, the facts are what they are. Intel has delayed Broadwell from its expected schedule by at least one quarter. Apple had two choices: Do nothing, or ship as improved an MBA as was possible from the parts that are available. Yes yes, we all want a Retina MBA, but if that product was predicated on Broadwell (in particular the Broadwell GPU) there's nothing we can do about it --- an MBA doesn't have the space or power budget for an external GPU.
