I am sorry I was in a bad mood.

Lol no problem, but I still agree with you. It makes no sense whatsoever to me that they would increase the price in one market while decreasing it in the other. Maybe one of the two would make sense, but not both. :/

I know, its completely stupid, but then again for us the price of the RAM upgrade dropped from 300 nz to 160NZ dollars,so its only fair I guess.

Torn between the 11" MBA and the 13" I get two more hours of battery life at the cost of 1/2 lb. and a few hundred dollars. Work is paying for it. I commute by bicycle, so the smaller form factor of the 11" is tempting but I'm wondering if I'll miss that battery life. The SSD upgrade is so expensive. /rambling.

I bike commute too. :) This may be interesting to you: the 11" is 2.38 pounds; the 13" is 2.96. The difference there is .58 pounds. But--for the old Airs at least, people say that they're seeing a large difference in usable battery life between the two sizes--something like the difference between "bring the adapter, and "don't bother". Apparently the old 45W magsafe adapter weighs about .6 lbs with the cords. So depending on your use, you may want to consider that.

Of course, you could just have a power adapter stashed at work, too, which would negate the advantage depending on how often you used it.

Don't know if the new adapters are the same as the old ones; don't know if the newer Airs change this equation significantly. I understand they use less power, but it may not be enough difference to matter.

My standard for comparing weight on the bike is a full water bottle. A 650ml water bottle will weigh about 1.5 lbs. So, the difference is about a third of a water bottle's worth--a few gulps of water.

I have two adapter with my Dell and would do the same with my Air. It's just easier, especially since the outlets at the office is hidden in the furniture system and is a pain to get to. Alternative would be to get a Thunderbolt display. :D

Sometimes I do my 20 mile commute by bicycle, carrying one less lb makes a huge difference.
