New Macbook at Mac world....will you buy?

I just got my MBP this Summer so I won't be looking for a new laptop until my AppleCare expires, which is like in the Summer of 2010. By that time, I'd be seeing twenty core 50GHz MBP with 100GB RAM 😛

I'd very much like it, but it'll depend on how much it costs, and how long my current Powerbook holds on, which will hopefully be another year or so, but it doesn't seem like it at the moment.

I'll buy if it is an ultra portable MBP. A MacBook doesn't have enough "umph" for me.

If not, I'll buy a 15in MBP.

I really like the size of the 15 inch MBP and I really don't want anything smaller, so I'll stick with mine.

I'll probably drool but not buy. What I really want is an iMac, and I can finally go desktop again in 6 months. So it would be kinda silly for me to buy a new laptop, no matter how cool it is. Surely will be tempting tho.

I will buy the new MacBook (Pro) when it comes out in January. I have the money, but the wait is killing me 🙁 I hope a new MacBook Pro 17" will come, but a 13" would be nice to.

What would be the point in that? The simplified OSX the iPhone and iPt use is perfect for its size... what are you after, a 5 inch MacBook? Ridiculous

Might sound ridiculous... but yeah. I think a 7 to 8 inch screen would be perfect. I really only use a laptop as a travel machine so the smaller the better. And I don't like the limitations of the OS just because it is a smaller machine.

I have to keep telling myself the ipod touch is not a computer... I want it to be so bad.

Thats the way I am leaning. I need to upgrade in 2008 so I can sell my current MBP with Applecare to get the best price. But I really want something lighter/smaller.

Believe it or not getting my iPhone has "slowed down" my wanting a Mac Notebook. My company issued Dell and my home iMac is plenty.

If this new ultra-portable is nothing more than a MacBook with a SSD and a new paint job, it may be a dud particularly for the rumored $1500 price tag.
