If you're actually going to meet back up with this person for a refund, I'd bring at least one friend and we'd both be armed. Who knows if this person just wants to shut you up to the cops or what.

Yes, very good, I would also bring more than one friend, and meet in a well lit area, preferably a mall, or crowded place where the likelihood of them injuring you would be far less.

some friends are going to go with me but she wont return any emails or text's now she even admitted to me she has a felony case pending against her involving the macbook she sold me. I think im pretty much going to just turn her info in

hope it works out for you.... i mean if you really wanted to screw her you could file a law suit for your money and then for your lawyer fees for the law suit.

Yeah I thought the title meant you had saw a new MBP at a genius bar.

That's what you get for not holding out for Arandale! :p Just kidding! I seriously hope this works out for you. When I bought a laptop off Craigslist, I got the guy to write me a Bill of Sale and I took a picture of it and the guy's ID... Not fool proof since the ID can be easily faked but you should be good with the license plate. Let us know what happens!

That really sucks for you, i guess, now you know that when you come across deals like a month old uMBP for $900, and it seems too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true. :D (i am not by any means laughing at your misery, but in this day in age, you have to watch out for these too good to be true deals on craigslist. I sold my used 15" 2007 non-unibody MBP last year for $1000 (without the AppleCare), when i saw that you received a month old uMBP for $900, i could not help but snicker (nobody in their right mind would sell it for such a low price, unless something fishy is going on behind the scenes) <--- majority falls under this rule, but there is a very slim chance of it being otherwise, for example, the "legitimate" seller has no clue about the high resale fetching prices for MBP.
