...I don't care about a redesign on the body, but maybe a higher resolution display and some new ports. Mainly, I want to see a performance jump in cpu, gpu, ram, and battery...
So you want to have your cake and eat it too? You realise what you're asking for are conflicting attributes, don't you? You're asking Apple to go back to full fat, supersized Power Books, as that's the only way you'll get all of those things in one machine.

My attributes are not really conflicting... Simply going from USB 3 ports to USB C and upgrading to Skylake with better RAM, SSD, Graphics, and Display doesn't warrant a complete redesign, but merely changing the USB port shape.... When they upgrade to Skylake everything will be an upgrade, except for upgrading the Display....

A more powerful CPU\GPU and better Battery life are conflicting, more ports also mean the same size unibody. Skylake may offer better battery life, but it will most likely be at the expense of extra number crunching ability, and I don't get why you'd need a better resolution display than Retina already offers.
