Maybe I'm blind, but I fail to see anything wrong in those photos.

Perhaps you should save the money from buying a new mac and invest in a new camera?
:D

Ring them and say about it, you should be able to get a replacement!

apple cant give me a replacement because I didnt buy it from them I called them up today.macconnection said they will refund I just hope the people that inspect it can see the dent and the bottom case not being even

a dent next to the trackpad? i would have to return that as i would see it everyday. mine (2011 15') came with a really small ding as well. on the bottom though almost in the middle. i chose to not return it as i have no other problems with the computer and i never see the bottom of my notebook. the dent right in front of my hands would drive me a little crazy though

Would like to know what you did

So I realize that this thread is old but i am hoping you will reply as I would like to know what you ended up doing. MY STORY: I got my new MacBook Pro with Retina Display as a graduation gift. When I opened it I noticed there was, in total, five dents on the bottom side of the case and the bottom portion of the case was completely bowed. So the next day (today) I took it to the apple retail store (note that the device was ordered online, not bought in a store) expecting them to say 'oh yes, this is defective, I will order you a new one right now.' Well, guess what they said instead: "this is beyond what we can do, here is a [effing] customer service number." Like customer service is going to do crap. So anyways I would like to know what you ended up doing. Granted that the extent of the damage inflicted upon my device seems to be more than what yours was, maybe you were just able to return it, but none the less I would still appreciate a reply. Thank you.

I bet they love dealing with people that have your attitude too.

Depends on a few things! First, do you know if the person who bought it got it from Apple directly, or from a third party seller? Do you have access to the receipt or a gift receipt? Second, was it bought new, or refurbished/used? I realize you took it to an Apple store, but was it bought from Apple? If you bought from a third party, it really depends. When it comes to Apple products I only buy from Apple or from Amazon as both have brilliant policies on these things, Amazon even better than Apple. Give us more info and we can help better :)
