Xbench is an oooold and by now pretty useless benchmarking tool. GeekBench is the new thing, but it's pretty complicated to set up for just one test. It's more for a professional reviewer.

X-25M vs Runcore

spam

and the Intel X25-M is clearly still faster.
Yes I realize the X-25M is a little faster, I read this review prior to purchsing my runcore...http://www.tweaktown.com/articles/2753/the_raid_0_ssd_report_intel_vs_runcore/index3.html but then I read this review on endgadget on the runcore...http://www.engadget.com/2009/05/04/runcore-pro-iv-ssds-launched-tested-seem-pricey/ and I really wanted a 256GB SSD I got the Runcore Pro IV 256GB SSD for $699 and I could not even find a 256GB version of the X-25M the 160GB I think was running like $499 at the time so for me the extra space was the deciding factor I am happy with it as I have 32GB partitioned for Windows (bootcamp) and it boots Windows faster than any PC I have ever owned.

Davidkoh how did u get a 16 sec boot?

I'm about to get an Intel 80gb g2 ssd and need the best way to install it. How'd you do it? Do you have a link on how to do it?
