Nice flex post mate.I browse web a lot, answer a lot of emails, watch YouTube a lot, and edit one video in iMovie once or twice a year.
I hope I don’t regret not upgrading my Max from 32GB to 64GB.

Can’t believe it. 14”, 32 core, 2TB. My credit card got hit up yesterday. What was your config? I ordered within 3 hours and mine still has no change. Mine is a base model except upgraded to the M1 Pro 10 Core / 16 GPU.
It will come.
Don’t you need a tracking number to use that?Mine has been saying preparing to ship for days, downloaded UPS My Choice and there was my tracking info! So the Apple System seems to just be behind
Nope, just need to register (for free) and add your address to your profile. Then anytime a shipment is processed for your address in their system, it will show up in the app. Sometimes it shows up in UPS app even before you get a notification from the business you purchased from.Don’t you need a tracking number to use that?
I’m returning mine in case anyone wants it 16 M1 max 64gb 1tb getting it deliver on Tuesday
Yeah, I went so far as to order one last night - total came to around $4300. I tossed and turned all night, thinking I made the decision to order prematurely, so cancelled this morning. If I order a laptop this expensive, I'd rather play it safe and wait at least another 6 or 8 months to see if any issues crop up. Even if I hadn't cancelled, delivery wasn't going to happen until early December. I'll just wait. This isn't supposed to be a good time to buy _any_ computers, as chip shortages are causing prices to rise abnormally high. Will have to be content to read reviews from people such as yourself down the line for now. Hope it turns out to be a great buy for folks.Mine moved from "Order Placed" to "Processing" ... $4,000 also disappeared from my Apple Card available balance.
Any chance there will be store stock on launch day? Or no chance at all?
I'm upgrading from my 1982 Commodore 64 but I'm worried I won't see a measurable speed boost.
Ahead of a Tuesday release, the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros are now starting to ship to customers who were lucky enough to get an early delivery date, as availability of the new Macs seemingly continues to be low.

The new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros ushered in a complete redesign to the product, the first since its controversial revamp in 2016. With the 2021 redesign, Apple has reintroduced ports to the MacBook Pro, such as HDMI and an SD card slot, and brought back MagSafe. The new MacBook Pros are also powered by the M1 Pro or M1 Max chips, the first Apple silicon chips designed for professional machines.
While the new MacBook Pros are now starting to ship to customers ahead of a Tuesday launch, those who have yet to place their orders or perhaps did so a little after pre-orders went live should prepare to face a long wait. For current Mac users not getting a new Mac this week, there is still something to look forward to as macOS Monterey launches on Monday, October 25.
Apple opened pre-orders for the completely redesigned MacBook Pros following its "Unleashed" event last week. Within minutes of pre-orders going live, delivery dates were already slipping by weeks and in some cases by over a month.. The 14-inch model, at the time of writing, displays at least 3-4 weeks for delivery, with all 16-inch models showing 4-5 weeks. Exact delivery date estimates will vary depending on location, configuration, and more.
Weeks ahead of the holiday season, a primetime for Apple, a number of the company's products continue to face long delivery dates. Models of the latest iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro, and even the Apple Watch Series 7 are showing weeks for delivery, potentially impacting customers' holiday shopping plans.

They are usually pre-cleared for customs so there aren’t ever any delays on that front. These all ship UPS Express Air which means they should reach their destination hub in under 24hrs.My status is "Preparing to Ship" and delivers on Tuesday, October 26. There is no way that this happens as it takes a day to get to the US and then 1-2 days in Customs and then a day to my state and half-a-day to my house. So I guess that they took a ton of orders.
Most likely already sitting in Louisville. Mine arrived there at ~ 1:00am EDT this morning and Apple still has "Preparing to Ship". UPS MyChoice is the best way to see the status before Apple posts the tracking number. My status is "Preparing to Ship" and delivers on Tuesday, October 26. Same for me as well. Seems like Apple is more worried about how to get these shipped right now than to actually get tracking numbers into their system. I’m just happy that I can tell that I’ll have a laptop on Tuesday. Most likely already sitting in Louisville. Mine arrived there at ~ 1:00am EDT this morning and Apple still has "Preparing to Ship".
