Again lowering the cost. The screens already come with dents and scratches its unbelievable!

Can you cite a single source of Apple saying any of these things?

More than that, even if they did say, at someone in the past, that Mini was the future, that was in the past. Technologies change. It would be very stupid for a tech company to refuse to adapt if one kind of screen technology advances faster than another.

It's a bit like saying Apple are dishonest because they no longer say SCSI hard drives are the best storage option.

Yes, this is how rumor sites work. If you want news about things coming now you should read Apple's site instead of Macrumors.
We'll have what's coming NOW in a couple of hours from Apple.

I don't know about anyone else, but when I think of Christmas, I'm thinking of a few months from now, not Christmas 2027.

13 years ago. Apple has since adopted OLED displays in iPhones, Watches, and iPads because they now meet their standards for color accuracy, brightness, and other performance metrics.

I really don't want OLED on my Mac. Too many static things for 14-16 hours a day and I have no desire to deal with burn ins. If anything, it seems that RGB Mini LED is the way to go before MicroLED becomes viable. Most of the TV manufacturers will go big on RGB Mini LED next year and we have already seen some examples so I hope this OLED nonsense will not happen. Fingers crossed

Terrible analogy because SCSI is not a current technology whereas OLED has been and still is.

To Windows users, this is about as exciting as hearing your neighbor finally got a microwave oven.
So true lol.

Having said that my Asus Zenbook has an oled display, and I'm over it. Maybe poor decision making on my part, but having to hide the task bar is a pain, and I'm always worried about burn in.

That's from 2013. In 2013 this made a lot of sense. Now it's 2025.

Have your predictions about technology stayed the same since 2013?

I have the M1 Max, best Mac I've ever owned, and I've owned loads. Its not showing any signs of aging, I'm going to keep it as long as they wil let me get AppleCare on it, so who knows - Maybe I'll get an M7 Max!
Same except I'm not bothering with AppleCare. Fantastic laptop, still feels new. Years from now when this one has served its time, I'll probably get one with OLED though.

I feel like some people missed the part where Apple put some fantastic tandem OLED panels in the iPad Pros last year and they are considered some of Apple's best performing displays.

Bringing those to the MacBook Pro will be a great update.

The person asked for a single source where Apple said OLED was inferior and I linked it. Here you are making excuses.
