For years, Apple told us that OLED was inferior and that nano-LED (not mini-LED) was the future. Now they’ve deprecated nano-LED project and now they're going to do the same for mini-LED and suddenly claim OLED is the best?
Why the photo still shows notches?
Again lowering the cost. The screens already come with dents and scratches its unbelievable!
everything is just "next year".. NOTHING is coming NOW.. wtf !!! what do they really do in house there??
Can you cite a single source of Apple saying any of these things?

We'll have what's coming NOW in a couple of hours from Apple.Yes, this is how rumor sites work. If you want news about things coming now you should read Apple's site instead of Macrumors.
ill never understand how people keep their battery health so highJust need to keep my M1 Macbook Pro trucking for another year. Very satisfied with it, and my battery health is still 95% after four years.

Apple CEO blasts OLEDs as inferior tech - independent research shows he has a point
Apple's Tim Cook had harsh words for Samsung's OLED technology today, and objective analysis shows he's not necessarily wrong. For all their vaunted superiority, OLED falls behind LCD in certain key metrics in mobile devices.www.extremetech.com
Terrible analogy because SCSI is not a current technology whereas OLED has been and still is.More than that, even if they did say, at someone in the past, that Mini was the future, that was in the past. Technologies change. It would be very stupid for a tech company to refuse to adapt if one kind of screen technology advances faster than another.
It's a bit like saying Apple are dishonest because they no longer say SCSI hard drives are the best storage option.
So true lol.To Windows users, this is about as exciting as hearing your neighbor finally got a microwave oven.
That's from 2013. In 2013 this made a lot of sense. Now it's 2025.![]()

Same except I'm not bothering with AppleCare. Fantastic laptop, still feels new. Years from now when this one has served its time, I'll probably get one with OLED though.I have the M1 Max, best Mac I've ever owned, and I've owned loads. Its not showing any signs of aging, I'm going to keep it as long as they wil let me get AppleCare on it, so who knows - Maybe I'll get an M7 Max!
You asked for a "single source" where Apple said OLED was inferior. There it is.13 years ago. Apple has since adopted OLED displays in iPhones, Watches, and iPads because they now meet their standards for color accuracy, brightness, and other performance metrics.
Oh lol I literally didn't remember my M1 had a notch until I read this.will wait until they redesign the line up. It’s time to retire the notch
But not actually addressing the point I was making. Please address that.Terrible analogy because SCSI is not a current technology whereas OLED has been and still is.
Nobody who actually owns one cares about the notch or notices it. Its the people without one who constantly complain about it.Oh lol I literally didn't remember my M1 had a notch until I read this.
The person asked for a single source where Apple said OLED was inferior and I linked it. Here you are making excuses. That's from 2013. In 2013 this made a lot of sense. Now it's 2025.
Have your predictions about technology stayed the same since 2013?
