the white unibody macbooks scratch extremely easily. I was using a microfiber cloth on my last one and there were small but visible scratches. It will get scratched if you dont take EXTREME care of it. it will get tiny scratches regardless of what you do. If the scratches are too much to bare you gotta put with it. I suggest buying a skin for top lid. The hard cases can cause scratches.
