Just ordered a mamba saddle myself, managed to find a store selling it a lil cheaper than i was expecting so gave in. Just hope my mbp fits ok!

The 15"W Crumpler The Gimp fits my new MBP beautifully! It's a little tight, so you've got to take care when zipping up so as not to damage the edges.

Looks awesome too... :)

Needed smaller laptop compartment and more storage...

My old laptop bag was just too roomy for the Alum. I bought the InCase Sleeve Plus, but couldn't get everything in it I like to carry with me. So I returned it and ordered this one from Booq Bags:

I have a Crumpler "Ugly Divorce" laptop bag:

And a "Gimp" 15w sleeve:

I just got the sleeve, but might take it back as the new Unibody MBP 15" barely fits.

thanks for posting that
was considering purchasing both but might just get the bag only
however i was looking the tlm001 or tbm001 or something

On the incase bag I posted earlier. It has more than enough space for everything I need for the laptop and uni. It's solid and the MBP fits snugly.

It doesn't feel or look like a laptop bag either once you have everything in it.

Sure, I highly recommend this laptop bag. With the MBP in its sleeve, it is as if this bag was custom made for the Unibody MBP, but in fact it came out some time before the new MBPs. It fits snugly but not too tightly in the 15w model.

Regarding the sleeve, it is a stretch to zip around the last two corners of the unibody MBP.

Unibody 15" MBP dimensions: 36.4 x 24.9 x 2.41 cm

According to Crumpler, the 15w Gimp holds laptops up to: 36.0 x 26.0 x 3.0 cm

A lovely Crumpler The Belly XL. I've had it for more than a year now, and it's still top notch.

I just got a Mobile Edge Slip Suit for my MacBook. They make a MBP version as well and have other nice cases.

What I liked most about it was that it has a nice accessory pouch on one side as well as a carry strap.

Maybe an interesting finding as I have this 15" (no "w") sleeve originally purchased for a 15" PowerBook before the 15.4 inchers:

I since started using this one with a 15.4" MBP Classic.

I just tested and found the 15.4" Unibody MBP fits better in the above 15" (no "w") sleeve (which incidentally matches my laptop bag).

Hmm, it is also a bit of a stretch to fit a MBP Classic into the 15w Gimp sleeve. Maybe I got a bad one... anyone else tried the 15w Gimp with 15.4" Unibody MBPs?

I picked up an Incase neoprene sleeve the day I got my new MBP after I was able to slide the display MBP into it inside the store. The sleeve is snug width-wise, but a 1/2 inch or so deeper than the MBP, which I don't mind at all; it makes the zipper easier to do up. All in all, a nice, basic sleeve that protects my MBP from the other junk I have thrown in my backpack on a daily basis. Definitely recommended for this purpose.

Are you using this with the aluminum MBP? I want to purchase hte Incase sleeve, but I've heard conflicting reports that it's too loose.

I got a Marware Sportfolio

It fits my macbook pro perfectly
Space for the charger too!

I ordered a Marware Sportfolio Deluxe for my MacBook and am sending back my Mobile Edge SlipSuit pictured above, just too tight and not enough room for AC adaptor and power cord extension.

Well I got my MarWare Sportfolio Deluxe - in black not blue

And I really like it. The Mobile Edge is going back, too small, too tight, not enough options.

The Marware is a nice compact case that isn't too compact, offers the ability to carry a few things without being a backpack, messenger bag, or larger briefcase style bag, but with some of the features of a briefcase style bag. It has a really nice shoulder strap that is very comfy, but also has to soft handles that make it easy to carry. The is a slip pocket, a zippered slip (flat) pocket, both of which aren't that big since we are talking the size of a MacBook, but make it easy throw some mail, a checkbook or a CD or whatever in. It also has the expandable pocket great for the AC adapter, extension cord, iPhone or iPod and more if you want. And the sleeve is not so tight so getting the MacBook in an out is really easy, yet it doesn't move around in there either. Both sides have a flap under the zipper so there's no worry about scratching.

Ordered mine last Tuesday and it arrived today (1 week exactly) for $56 incl. shipping from J&R. Amazon was $1 less total but with free super saver shipping I figured it might take longer.

My Booq arrived!

Love my new Taipan Slimcase (S) (pictured in earlier post)! It just arrived today along with the Taipan Skin (S). Designed to fit the Alum MB perfectly... like a second skin and I am able to get a bit more in the Slimcase than I could the InCase Sleeve Plus. Very happy now. The skin is great when I don't use the Case... I can throw it in my purse (so I carry a large purse) when I go out.

I just got home from buying that case at the Apple store. It fits nice and snug on my MBP, couldn't be happier.

EDIT: On a side note, I did change the shoulder strap with another one I find more comfortable. Still a great bag: double sleeves in the fron for my mouse, remote, cd's, etc.. and a slot in the back for documents.

Hi,

My Banana Republic messenger bag just snapped on the street with my 15" Macbook Pro in it. No damage to the MBP; but I am in the market for a bag. Since you have this bag, I have a question for you. I usually travel with an Apple Bluetooth Keyboard with my MBP Do you think that my MBP & Apple Keyboard will fit in the main compartment of this bag ? I use a Radtech Sleevz so not worried about the keyboard scratching the aluminum of the Macbook Pro.
I would keep my BT mouse and Magsafe charger in the outside pockets.

Thank You,
