New product called iScrewed; basically a MacPro with all the guts removed; so you can throw in a custom PC Mobo and actually get a performance driven machine. ;)

Seriously, if no MacPro is announced; my faith on Apple will cease and will be forced to look elsewhere for what I require. This will also happen at work; seriously considering dumping Apple on the next round of hardware upgrades.

Totally this. Combined with the Adobe fiasco, the hardware and software that I use at home and at work could radically change in the next 2 years. Neither company is doing much to renew my allegiance (and Adobe is actively making me question it).

Those who think there will be a Mac Pro at WWDC shouldn't hold their breath. There is no Ivy Bridge-E launch from Intel yet. You shouldn't expect an update until late Q3 or even early Q4.

Q4 may be too little too late. They won't introduce after August, as that would eat into the iPhone/iPad releases, so if not now.. it's next January again at earliest.

If there's no iOS, there's Android.
If there's no Mac, there is nothing.

There is an Android for you and many others, yes. For me and many others, thanks but no thanks. Had it, didn't like it. I do understand your needs but you also should understand that not everyone wants what you want.

With a revamped iOS being announced on June 10, it would be unrealistic to expect a new hardware with the new iOS this summer. The new iOS will have to go through extensive beta testing.

Yep. Let the beta testing begin......

Beg to differ....without IOS would we really have Android?

Most likely we would be talking about some crappy 'upgrade' to the early windows CE phones.

Wait, no 'S' model iPhone announced? When do they normally announce them?

Dramatic, polarizing, opinionated comment meant to stir up the community and gain upvotes!

I like upvotes here because they mean even less than on sites like reddit or YouTube. They serve almost no purpose anymore but to give people something to click on.

September at the earliest. http://www.tomshardware.com/news/Intel-Ivy-Bridge-E-CPU-i7-4960X,22372.html

A Mac Pro is not going to eat into iPhone and iPad sales. This product has a specific market and the people who need it will buy it. I don't believe it's a matter of Apple holding back. People are begging for it, they just aren't going to deliver a machine with a dated chip.

Traditionally, every year which would mean around late September/October.

Wow, seriously just about anyone could become and Apple analyst. This douche is not telling us anything that anyone with a pulse who follows Apple doesn't already know.

Cool. I hope they announce a Macbook Air with Retina Display! :D

Yeah, this would be great.

But what I want is a new workhorse to replace my 2007 17" MBP 1920x1200 700+ hybrid drive. This machine is on its last legs.

I *really* need a fully-loaded 15" rMBP with a 1TB SSD. That's what I'm holding out for. I just hope they don't remove more ports.

I'm running OX 10.8 on a few late 2007 MBP models at work. I think it's safe to say your '11 model will support the next three versions of OS X (at the very least) with no problem.

Now that we've gotten past the PPC-intel and 32bit-64bit bumps in the road, I'd be inclined to say that quick obsoletion will not be nearly as much of a factor. That is unless there is some other factor I'm not thinking of (graphics card support, etc).

A few things...

We've seen Apple get chips early in the past.
They have not introduced major desktop upgrades in Sept-Dec in many years, as it's not part of the back-to-school and Christmas shopping.

If we get past August, it will go to January. By that time if I don't spend all my money on vacation, I might just break down and buy a new Doghouse system. At some point I can't wait for Apple anymore.

When have they ever really unveiled any new hardware with the latest version of IOS? They always show it on the current model and then have that for a few months before the latest device comes out.

I'm hoping for a MacBook Pro refresh. My current MBP is 3 years old so I'm ready to buy a new one. I'm really hoping apple kills off the non-retina macbooks and replaces them at the same or similar price points with the rMBPs. That would be just perfect.

I think they have to say something about the MacPro at WWDC. Cook pretty much put himself on the hook and so it would be very glaring at this point if there's no mention.
