Nevermind, as usual I didn't read the whole article :p.

I sure hope they don't take a wrong turn with iOS 7. Not that I forsee it happening -- I'm sure Jony Ive and team know what they're... but any time big changes are planned, it opens the door for big missteps too.

When my 2 year old can pick up an iPad/iPhone and learn how to use it without any training, access her favorite games, exit out and find a new one, go back and pick a different puzzle, go through the pictures and watch all of our home movies... that's saying something incredible about the existing interface.

At the same time, I can see where critics would say that iOS is getting "stale" or "stagnant". Being a n0Ob to iOS (the 4s being my first iOS device), I likely have a higher tolerance for the "same ol, same ol". It's my humble opinion though that Android took the opposite approach and where I was really solid on 2.3, putting down an android back then and picking one up these days puts me right back where I was when I got my first Android (2.2). I feel like where some may say Apple has been too conservative with its iOS updates, Android has swung too far in the opposite direction.

Find that happy medium Apple! ;)

...As for the content of the WWDC, surely nobody expects any new iOS hardware to be announced do they? At this point, the iPhone is such a big deal it will always warrant its own event. I'd be inclined to say the same about the iPad. I hope I'm wrong cause I really want the scoop on the new iPhone. Truth be told, I'm kinda curious about the next iPad mini too... but I wouldn't expect any of that at anything other than a standalone event.

I am sure whatever they will release - it will be better than Google Glass or XBox One! In short - it will make sense to general public.

Macs are the most important thing Apple does. I can just live with an Android phone or tablet.
I agree with this. Android phones and tablets are pretty awesome these days, the only reason I stick with iPhone and iPad is because of their integration with my Macs. I could never fathom going back to Windows as an OS though.

Yup, I just want a Gen 2 rMBP. Give me 256GB standard on the 13" and Haswell, and I'll be first in line. Hopefully they'll be out soon/immediately.
I still think we'll see 128GB as standard, but I agree, can't wait for a Haswell 13in rMBP. I'm currently selling my 27in iMac and soon my 13in MBA to move to a 13in rMBP + Thunderbolt setup (assuming those get refreshed too!)

I'm not sure that is true anymore. iOS have filled the coffers of Apple much more than the Mac has. Thus they dropped the world Computer from their name.

It's a"bubble". The others will catch up and over take Apple's IOS products. It is starting to happen already. In the end all of Apple's products will run at about 20% market share because they will only make high-end stuff. Just like Macs. The masses go to Wallmark and buy the $350 PC. Phones are going that way more and more. But for now Apple really has the stand out product. IN 5 or so year? We don't know yet.

I am not convinced of that. Especially when trying to help an elderly parent.

There are obvious things I could do in Android without instruction that I have no idea how to do in iOS, provoking annoying results when trying to find out how.

What I want is commercial Linux applications and no Apple-forced Mac requirement.

If there was a market for that, I would think it would have been filled already. But if you disagree, you should start your own.

Android is easier to use than iOS.

I believe that's true for you. I don't believe it's true for the general public.

gonna be pretty depressed if anything other than a slight speed bump happens to the 15" RMBP... just bought one 2 months ago

Don't worry - releasing of new hardware will not slow down any hardware you just purchased. Just enjoy it - if it was perfect for your needs 2 month ago it will still be perfect for you need if they do a major update.
