New MageSafe wallet won't connect

Just wanted to add to this: I was having this issue with a wallet I bought on Friday; I finally exchanged it at the Apple store today and am having the same issue. The guy at the store had no idea what the issues might be or how to fix it.

The phone is at least recognizing it as a wallet accessory now which is an improvement; it’s just not able to add it to Find My.

Annoying.

weird, my issue was fixed with the IPSW fresh download try going to apple and get a retail swap of the phone that will for sure fix it.

For what it’s worth, I was told by an Apple rep tonight that this is a known issue now and they are going to release a software fix. We’ll see.

No maytter what I Dom, the wallet won't add to the Find My.

First it sees the wallet but says it has errors
Now it doesn't see it at all
and now it says its not supported?

Anyone else having this issue?

Pretty sure it’s a bug in ios 15. Just like the bug with the Apple watch that we can’t use to unlock our phones when wearing a mask.

Interestingly enough, my Watch connectivity is perfectly fine. The only issue I’m having is with the wallet.

I had the issue had to put phone in DFU and install a fresh copy of IOS at ipsw.

then the same way you do a hard reset

Press down power button

you’ll see computer icon on the screen

I exchanged mine and the second behaved the same way. Apple has already acknowledged that this is an issue and is working on a software fix.

Minor comment: Does anybody know how to change the name of the wallet? it's the only icloud "device" that I can't change it seems...

Mine says wallet out of the box. Funny that you cannot edit the name.

Yeah it automatically creates a name but it seems impossible to change it
