Just curious as to what version of Lightroom Classic the OP is running. I was running the latest version of 10.x up until today, and I did experience a few instances of LR's memory usage ballooning to almost 20gb, but since upgrading to version 11, the memory leak seems to be under control. At this very moment I'm simultaneously exporting a few thousand images at two different sizes, while also working on editing other images, and LR's memory usage is ranging between 7gb and 9gb.

We keep seeing constant claims that something is slow, something isn't working properly, something is using X component, when we have absolutely no proof or evidence that it is such. Considering you are not just making claims about YOUR laptop, but an entire line of laptops, this is very important. Looking forward to such proof.
