He's technically correct. There's still a limited # of times you can toggle those bits, but agree that it's splitting hairs. But calling him out on it? Bit more of a fail than his post considering the technical behind his statement is as correct now as it was "in 2008"

5-10 years from now they'll fail. I don't see why you'd worry. No one will be using their same drive by that time most likely.
I was not calling anyone out. I was trying at humor.
Technicality is one thing, probability is another.
Feel free to worry about such things if you want.
