This is real? I read it was a fan-made render. Its nothing close to official.

Never said it was official; that's why I used the question mark in the title.

Found it - Multi-touch trackpad + keyboard.
Now, forget the clickwheel/number pad overlays - I would buy one of these in a heartbeat rather than a new mouse.

"New Mighty Mouse" came up with this: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/619716/
As the tenth result. I love the idea, though. Get rid of the sticky scroll sphere entirely.
Great idea being able to scroll in all directions from the mouse, but having a physical ball was out-dated already when the mighty mouse was first announced. They should have gone with a touch sensitive area from day 1 - but I suppose they decided it would be too expensive and too power hungry (not that power would have been an issue for the original wired version). Maybe they'll be forcing us back to wired mice, like they've forced us back to a wired keyboard.
Am I missing something? How exactly did Apple force you to go back to the WIRED keyboard??![]()

I like it. It would be pretty cool to have this as a side-kick to the aluminum late 2008 MacBooks.
What do you think?

... this is exactly like being racist, except to a mighty mouse which is much better quality than Logitechs by far. My MX revo ( in the trash, the 5 one I bought/returned/exchanged ) had the paint worn off in one day of light use. The rubber peeled off. The whole thing was cheaply designed and felt really uncomfortable.

Now that trackpad on the aluminum keyboards look really intriguing...
Here's my take on it:
I'm truly saddened by the Mighty Mouse. It isn't Apple quality, but yet it matches the Mac so well. In a serious dilemma, I chose function over form and went with the MX Revo. Sorry Apple. As much as I would like a sleek Apple mouse to match my Mac, Logitech just has you beat. Of this I am truly ashamed to admit, yet on the other hand I'm pleased to say I have an awesome mouse which I picked up at an unbeatable price![]()
The fact that the wireless doesn't have a number pad. The current wireless keyboard is the exact same layout as a MB/MBA/MBP keyboard.
If you are buying a keyboard for desk use, most people want a FULL keyboard (at least I do)

It looks pretty nice..now all it need is wait for it to come out...
I have 4-5 mighty mouse just sitting in the drawer and they all exhibit these problems,![]()
and they have these black gunk that I have to clean off every other day.
Dude, of course, mice get gunk on them, as do keyboards. It's pretty much a given that anything that is in constant contact with hands is going to get really dirty. I've never seen a keyboard older than a month that wasn't filthy, especially underneath. I have both the aluminum chiclet keyboard and the older plastic Apple Pro keyboard, along with a Bluetooth Mighty Mouse and wired Mighty Mouse, which I regularly unplug and clean, usually with anti-static wipes. Once and awhile I'll get the vacuum out so I can get all the crumbs from under the keys too.![]()
