No, they haven't. If a Kickstarter does not meet its goal, no money is collected.
It is still in development, I didn't posted about the progress because I waited until the moment to show you a system with a GUI on a real iMac.
I got a working RAM-based file system, see the progress here: https://twitter.com/__narke. The development goes slowly because as the project wasn't funded I work on it among other projects on my free time. Next steps are to load and execute an application, having a GUI, USB support, and Networking. I hope to have a minimal system with a GUI by the end of 2016. Modifications aren't committed to github but I will do that in few days.
