new out of box bent iphone 6 plus, NOT the camera

Why does this thread exist without pics or video?

It's a minor thing, tough to photograph, especially when my camera is my phone. Don't be so dismissive.

Here's your video - this is basically what I'm seeing. Viewed in profile, it's noticeable, very slightly. Also, I was doing it screen down, rather than with the camera hanging off the table.

Is there any information on whether Apple will give you a hard time for trying to replace a phone that is slightly bent?

I'd think if it was noticeable enough (and I doubt mine would qualify) that they would. I saw a post on Twitter in response to Tim Stevens that claimed Apple had replaced one already.

Just keep in mind, Registration dates of Sept. 2014. There's your answer. And don't listen to people saying you're being dismissive. That word has been thrown around this thread multiple times. Sounds more like certain people are just defensive because the rest of the forum knows what's up. Apple tends to get a lot of negatives from certain people. If they really had something to show, they would. ;)

There's usually a 14 day return policy for all phones. SAY WHAT?!?!

Jesus Christ dude, it's been thrown around multiple times because there are a lot of people being aggressive about it. Read the rest of my posts - I'm far from a shill.

Try saying something that adds to the conversation, rather than trying to discredit the newer members of your community.

Me asking for pictures is being "dismissive"? Ooooook.

It's just cool how you only respond to the parts you want. I linked you to a video showing my problem, which is the next best thing, but I see no response to that.

Look, I'm typing this from my new phone - I have no reason to lie about it. I even admit that there are probably paid trolls roaming around here, and Samsung, etc. would be glad to capitalize on the negative press, but that doesn't change the fact that no one's bothered to address the admittedly small flaw some of us have noticed.

Anyway, I'm about done posting about this issue, because I have no desire to keep repeating myself. If you think I'm just making stuff up, go look at some of my other posts. The only reason I joined recently is because yes, there are new things going on with Apple right now, and I feel like discussing them.

Anyway, like I've said elsewhere, I wholeheartedly recommend this phone. The Plus if the best phone I've ever used. I just want to talk about small flaws I noticed because I think constructive criticism is more valuable than denial. I don't think the bending thing is a big issue or widespread on a scale where it's noticeable, but I do hope Apple makes sure it's stuff is a little more durable in the future. OK?

Are you having a conversation with yourself or something? I never said I didn't believe you. In ANY.of my posts. You are mighty defensive for no reason. Relax...breathe...I am not attacking you or your claims.

I (implicitly) asked for pics. all you had to do was say you didn't have a cam to take pics with...and that would have been the end of it for me. Instead you act as if I'm supposed to know you don't have a camera and then say I'm being dismissive because I wanted to see pics. Take it easy man

You're right. It's just that all day people have been insinuating that anyone posting about this is either lying or a paid shill, and that's pretty obnoxious. So, sorry for ranting in response to you.

Watched the video too btw. Yeah seems pretty minor but it does seem to have it a little. Not something that would concern me personally. In fact I havent, and won't, conduct a test like that on my phone. I visually inspected it but that's as far as I'll go. If I can't visually see it then it's a non issue for me but I'm not so obsessive like some of these people seem to be.

Personally I think the protruding camera would bother me more than the wobble that video shows. It is something I think about every time I set my phone down! Wish it was at least flush.

It's kind of funny, because the camera and antenna lines seemed so wrong in all the leaks before announcement, but on the actual phone they don't bother me at all. The camera sticks out like what, 1 mm? Probably wouldn't have hurt to just make it flush though. I feel like Apple always leaves in a small quirk or two to drive discussion and push sales for upgrades in the future.
