You know, I didn't think of it in all the iPhone hype, but now that the 5s is out, and I'm still happy with my 4s, I may just upgrade my 3rd gen iPad. I use that pad so much more than I thought I would. It'd be a decent bump up on my mobile computing platform. Very curious to see what the iPad 5 will look like!
 
Unless you use your iPad nude the colour of it means nothing. My 4th Gen iPad is happily inside it's wood case 🙂.

I suspect there might be intentional leaks. Not saying this is one. But Tim Cook made a joke at the last keynote "perhaps you've seen this before" - which could have been a very tongue-in-cheek way of "admitting" that Apple leaked the pictures or didn't care.

Ultimately - it's not real until the reveal
 
Wish they had the silver back and black front. I love the black bezel vs the white.

Bit digging the space gray but I'll get it if it's the only black bezel option.

The iPad 2 isn't that much lighter than a 4th gen, either in exact specs (1.33lbs vs. 1.44, 0.11 lbs difference in WiFi models), or in "feel" (having worked with both pretty extensively).

I agree though, every little bit helps, and that's not a bad starting point, but I'm really hoping for a another 2-3ths of a pound (even vs. an iPad 2) as I think that will make a real world effective difference!
 
They look great.

I just hope that Apple won't fail miserably by not showing up with an iPad mini retina. The disappointment would be huge and it could hurt their reputation substantially. Right now I'm more than willing to upgrade my iPad mini and my iPad 3rd gen for xmas, if not, I'm ...not going to switch but just wait. 😉
 
iPad 2 just went on Craigslist yesterday, already have someone coming tonight to buy it. I'm ready for the new Mini 😀
 
I just sold my Nexus 7 (2013) in order to buy the iPad 5. I was considering the Mini again, but I think the full size will suit me better this time around since it will be a bit smaller/lighter.
Cannot wait!
 
Considering there are no leaks so far, I am not expecting a gold iPad or iPad mini, but I don't understand why they wouldn't. It has been the most desired iPhone. Maybe that is more because of limited supplies of gold, but it still shows that there is at least a demand for it.

Will I pick up an iPad mini regardless? Yes, assuming it has a retina display. But I am still hoping for gold.
 
Weird that there isn't a sign of Touch ID. I thought that's why the iPad 5 was pushed back so far. It was already leaked at the beginning of this year.

Haha yeah, I got a 1st gen infront of me, I'm loving the color combination. Hope this new one will be available in that combo as well, it's time to upgrade. 😀
