Everything sounds realistic and it's the same things I'm expecting, more or less.

Remove the plastic rims.
Add the awesome chiclet keyboard.
Switch to a new non-defective GPU.
Add support for 8GB of memory.
BTO 1680x1050 for the 15.4 inch - 1440x900 is just sad on a "Pro" laptop. My sisters 5 years+ old Acer (ACER!) laptop has 1440x900. =)

That would've been really sweet. :D

What's this "chicklet keyboard"?

What's this "chicklet keyboard"?

It's the one found on the Apple external keyboard, the regular Macbook and the Macbook Air.

The buttons are all seperated.

Chiclet on the left and Macbook Pro non-chiclet on the right

I see...

I would love to see the first Computer, keyboard layout and all, but a black case (second image) but still have the white keys. Would be very retro.

This is the most realistic mockup so far, I will be actually surprised if October 14 we'll see something very different from this.

I like that one too. Think that one is supposed to be the Macbook though.

Yep, I expect Pro to be less rounded to give it a more serious look (and put more stuff in it). I wouldn't be surprised to see Pro in almost black non glossy aluminum (like to the new black Nano).

That black lid is so unexpected and out of the blue that it might just be true...
It depends on the week. Last week we heard curved design and a few hours later a (bad) fake came out with air-inspired design. This week we here it will retain the boxiness of the current model and guess what? This comes out.
Given the black back on the iMac, I was expecting the new MacBook to have a black bottom and maybe a black top.

The aluminum keyboard leaks had a number of unexpected changes that nobody expected. That was a case for it being real.

that simply looks like a macbook air with a black apple logo.

I would rather they not mess with the lit-up Apple. It's iconic.

Also, if you ask me, the black back on the iMac is not very pretty.

That mockup has more rounded/deeper case than Air, which matches the previous Macbook case leak.

As for Apple logo, black is more visible when macbook is off, and you can always build-in lit behind it. Some cool effect can be created.

The uploader of this pic on Flickr says it's Macbook Pro..
A few weeks ago I saw a pic from him saying "the new macbook". Later he pulled it of Flickr.

It was a macbook with tapered edges and the comment said that black aluminium would be standard. Also the same keyboard, and a 14" display, further nothing special. But I had to admit it was the MOST realistic design I'd ever seen, so might have been true.
Most special was that the screen had a special design: The frame was quite thin, but under the screen (where it says"Macbook") it was a lot thicker.

I hope they are thicker for god's sake, Apple can barely cram enough tech worth calling Pro into the current 1" chassis as it is, an extra 0.3" for a vastly more powerful GPU, bigger battery and better heat dissipation would be glorious.

But I guess that would make too much sense..

Honestly, all I want is an anodized black aluminum option with the chicklet keyboard and an option for a 1680 x 1050 15" LED.
