"iPhone 5 film arrived earlier than expected. It is now available online!!"

Now the air jacket case may still be scheduled for the 5th or early November

My case was delivered today. Well, almost. I was not home for delivery but going to pick it up now along with my iPhone 5. Will post pictures in a few hours!

does anyone know how much this will go for retail? contemplating whether i should buy from one of the ebay sellers or wait until it's released here in the states - especially if it's cheaper.

Humm, what seller? I am hoping the one I ordered from works....Guess I will see once I get a response.

Blah, got the same message the other guy got. The seller cannot arrange for overseas shipping. Too bad.

To answer the above question, these have gone for 40$ retail in the past and are selling for about 35$ (US currency) over in Japan now.

thanks for the info. nice little markup from the ebay sellers. i think i saw them go for either $62 or $66.

guess i'll wait til they're available here.

2 questions

1. Is the material rather hard, or somewhat soft?
2. Does the material get scratced up rather easily?

Thanks!

1. The clears are harder than the colored ones, judging by the way how easily the Japanese guy removed the black case when I was having difficulty removing mine!

2. Yes, fine scratches are appearing on the back but overall it's holding up pretty well despite the fact that I wasn't especially taking extreme care on how I used the case.

Just picked up the case and phone from FedEx office.
Attached some pictures of the stuff the case comes with. It feels very high quality, though I haven't taken it out yet. But I will once I open my iPhone and place my screen protector on.
Pretty terrible quality photos because I took them with my iPad.

where did you buy it from?

I had a friend in Japan buy it for me.

It's not really soft, it's fairly hard. After using the case with my iPhone for a few hours, I can tell it is very high quality, though.
Hi does it look like a material that will pick up stains easily? I'm considering the white matte but that's my greatest concern

It may look like it to you (if you've ever owned a case that looked like, in my case I have and it was a low quality one) but it feels like it won't. The material, again, seems very high quality and I doubt it would pick up stains easily.

As long as it feels like a hard plastic as opposed to a rubbery coat, it should not stain that easily. Thanks for the info. I have abit more confidence ordering a white now.

Yep, it definitely feels more like a hard plastic. It only looks a bit like rubber. You won't regret the purchase.

Just received the 0.2m lighting to 30pin adapter cable, and i can tell it works! It clicks and fits the case. (The adapter without cable doesnt fit)

Haha thanks. I had already decided to get it. Just been mulling over the color is all. Clear dark or matte white. Killer decision.

Anyone with an opinion feel free to chime in ;)

First was the original design meant for the Switcheasy Nude. Then I modified it to suit the Desmay case. Now I modify it again as plugs for Power Support Air Jacket. :D

Great idea! I plan to do something similar with this case and some port covers from eBay.

Aside from availability. My concern is whether the clear/clear black will be much more prone to scratches than the black/white. Anybody have insight into this?

I owned both the clear and clear black for the 4 and 4S. They say there is a scratch resistant coat on the cases and that may be true as the cases did not scratch as fast as say the clear Incase Snap but within a few weeks to months there were noticeable scratches. I would suggest if getting this for the black iPhone 5 and were wanting a clear case, go with the clear black as the scratches will be less noticeable.

I am thinking black vs clear black. Leaning towards black based on whether the clear black would be prone to scratching in comparison.

Hi, will the edge of the case likely to scratch the side bands during installation or removal especially on a black ip5? Just like most cases the edge will be in contact on the side bands during installation or removal.
Thanks! I usually does some freelance review in the Singapore forum but since I saw that many of you have so much unanswered questions, and I'm kinda lazy to do a properly worded review in here, I though maybe a ton (I exaggerate) of photos in here will help solve all your itch on this casing.

But still if any of you don't get enough data or information from the photos, feel free to pose your questions.

As for now, I'm going to bed. You guys have fun analysing the photos! :)

I do not deny that due to the tightness of this case, you might accidentally scratch the sides of your phone if you use your fingernails to try to pry the case off it.

However if you usually handles the removal of your case with care, I don't think it will be an issue for you.
