Kind of funny people pay 60 for this. Looks like it’s destined for a drawer.

The new remote takes all the best bits of previous apple remotes and puts them all back together in one excellent package , I love it ! I’ve bought 4 , for each atv in my house . The current one looks good but is abysmal to use

The only glaring omission is lack of a U1 chip in case you lose the thing , but that’s no big deal tbh

Nah I’m happy to pay $60 to rid me of the agony that is the current Siri remote. As much as I hate it, I still need it for the home and Siri buttons. Can’t wait to start using this new one.

If it makes it easier to find after losing it somewhere, then I'm completely fine with it.

all the new apple TV remote needs is a white bezel!

Life is short already, life becomes much shorter when you become concerned about whether a remote is ugly or not.
You sure you have that lecture pointed in the right direcIon? :D Seems like it should be aimed at the people who sold us a beautiful remote that failed in both Form and Function rather than the consumers who are spending another $60 for a slightly improved but still majorly flawed replacement.

Seriously though, I’m not slamming the product. Its just that Apple often learns from its mistakes so I think there is a legitimate complaint that, after 6 years of a “Style over Substance” remote, then the replacement would focus more on what it does rather than how it looks.

It's just a remote. An inanimate object. To be obsessed over whether a remote is ugly or not is not healthy. Life is about living. Put yourself back into it, instead of worrying about a remote. By me saying "yourself" I am not implying you, but those that get upset over such small things.
