How long after the launch of a new iphone do providers still sell and carry previous versions?

Gotta make sure to pick up another 5s in time before all you can get is the "iphone Galaxy". Stupid design.

why on earth do they keep white or black front?

this would be so much better!

http://www.uswitch.com/mobiles/news/2014/01/iphone_air_next_iphone_could_be_as_thin_as_6mm/

It used to be black, as the Cinema and MacBook displays have a black bezel, because of the theory that images look clearer inside a dark frame.

White was added later to iPhones and iPod Touches on customer request. If black is a good frame, then white can not be much worse, being a 'neutral' colour.

So basically this Martin dude just copied an HTC One and slapped iOS on the front.

Why can't they just do 5" for the smaller model like all flagship phones these days? Why go with 4.7" which is so 2012 and give another reason for Android and Windows phone users to make fun of the iPhone's inferior 'specs'? 5" seems like a great compromise between screen size for media consumption, in dash navigation, and portability.

I remember when PC Windows made fun of Mac "inferior specs". I think I can live with the 4.7" screen size since the iPhone has the best hardware specs in the market.

All i care is better battery life. If they leave iPhone 5 design its ok with me as long as it gives me at least two days of moderate use. Otherwise its useless if i have to charge it twice a day, have chargers everywhere and use juice packs to get me through the day.

Every year I get on here and people say its ugly and I will be buying the older model or going to Android. Every year I get back on here and see people going crazy because they weren't able to get the new model and tons of threads about tracking shipments. Lets just say its ugly now and we need a Jony Ive video to tell us why its so beautiful. Apple Magic tends to work every time...

screams android

don't like it

the iPhone 5s is beautiful the way it is just do me a huge favor and get rid of all physical buttons i hate click sounds so much on these devices. but if you must have a button make it soft and silent but no home button that can be placed on the side please! give us true screen real estate. no cameras for me, they can make an adapter for cameras via the lightening port. i just want a phone and apps for productivity.

i love you all!

I'll take two of 5.5" iPhone 6c models please.

Best looking and feeling plastic I've EVER held. Very reminiscent of the iBook and acrylic days of Apple . . . . back when they cared about products, and not lawsuits.

??.. in what sense.. highest ppi.. highest ram. Most cores ?... most megapixels?.. highest clocked processor?..

Yes you''re right. Deffo best specs going...

now if you'd said the iPhone runs stellar on less than top end specs.. that would have been nearer the truth..

Ps, don't embarrass yourself by saying 64bit.. 1gig of ram isn't enough to utilise it.. we all know that...

Why are all of these renders showing the front with little-to-no bezel? I thought the front panels that we saw photos of last week had just about the same amount of bezel as the iPhone 5's and 5s's...

I think if the new iPhones matched the design of the iPad Air, then they’d be onto a winner.

I’m certainly hoping for that anyway.

If Apple want to utilize the TouchID to revolutionize mobile payments, it seems to me that they'd include it with both models and not just the higher end one. Shouldn't they find something new to distinguish the higher end from the the lower end?

I totally agree, I can’t imagine any new phones without it (or iPads for that matter). At this point, it seems like Apple is moving toward more parity between products, with maybe just a differentiation in materials or form factor (i.e., iPad Air vs. Mini V2) - or I could see differentiation with something easily implemented, like the models having different memory options (16/32/64 vs, 32/64/128).
