That’s you. That’s not everyone. Just because you don’t see the appeal doesn’t mean countless others won’t as well.
I work in usability, and participate in user experience sessions regularly. I've literally never seen anyone express frustration with the size of phones today. Ever. Well, except for many being unable to grip large phones properly and reach UI elements towards the top of the phone.

You aren't going to get a foldable phone from Apple that turns into a tablet... for your pocket, probably ever, but especially until folded up it can be as thin as phones are today.

Other manufacturers rush to fads and gimmicks, but Apple isn't going to make this mistake. So keep dreaming.

Not when these phones all run janky android os. Im sure you are on the wrong forums, either that or Apple took a dump in your coffee at some point
Many people here love the Apple ecosystem/hardware but laugh at the near religious worship that some here have with Apple. Android work fine. In fact stock android is 99% if iOS. It’s the complete control over hardware/software that makes Apple work so well.

I’m open to a folding phone. Maybe in the future but for now my 11PM is all I need.

The technology can't evolve until apple shows them how it's done, android and tablets are a joke, there is a reason apple is untouchable in the tablet market.

the fold z 2 is a half baked product with a plastic screen, ugly crease and terrible software, apple will be leading the foldable market by a long way once they release their foldable phone, the rest will be playing catch up for a long long time to come. 🍎👑
My Point proven by this post.

It is 100% happening in 2023. This is my final message to you. Enjoy the crow in 2 years.

When apple does make a foldable the app optimisation will obviously be great which as much as i like my fold 2 the apps just aren’t on the same level for a foldable device. That will be the same on any google fold as well as android developers just do not optmise their apps for tablet use.

You forgot the ridiculously narrow outer screen too.

I agree with you. I believe when Apple unveils their foldables that it will be the best version of that hardware category to date. I suspect right now that won't be until 2023 however.

Eventually, yes. But if that stage is land mammals, right now we’re still at the fish-with-longer-fins step—and with future alternatives like AR glasses to obviate the need for any physical screen slab, it’s also possible that foldables are the dinosaurs instead of the mammals…
So in the future I have to wear glasses to get contents? And the future cannot have multiple technology paths?

Spot on, been this way since day one.
