Yes, because I'm sure they'll really listen.

It's not like I and many others have already told Apple that:

a) The included tones are not very good

b) People want the option to use a custom tone for Messages.

Who took the jam out of your doughnut? Relax. (+20 if you catch the reference.)
You cant (female dog) and whine about things if you dont take active steps to change them.

You are aware that Apple doesnt view these forums for opinions right? Feedback form doesnt work? E-mail sjobs@apple.com about your extreme and unbridled hatred for the tones on a beta version of software. Someone did about the the iTunes icon. It didnt "change" anything but he was heard (keep in mind that iTunes by that stage wasnt beta either).

If it truly bothers you so much, if the tones are truly so god awful, tell them. Apple is one of the very few companies that actually listens to their customers.

Really now? The only time Apple "listens to their customers" is when something of theirs is flawed, burns up, explodes or has a major defect to the point there is an outcry. Go look at the silly video card thread floating around here that Apple is just now "listening to their customers" what is it, 4/5 years later?

Sorry, but emailing Steve won't get much credence. This is the same guy that said "non issue" and "you're holding it wrong". He also went out of his way to show the world that every other phone has a flaw just like his. :rolleyes:

Yeah, no. Apple only listens when there is a HUGE public uproar or it's a legal issue. Even then, it's like trying to get blood from a rock.

We are on the 4th generation of iPhone and it STILL does NOT have custom SMS tones. As mundane as it might be - it's absurd to have to request such a basic feature that most all phones have had since 10 years ago.

I can accept defeat in the face of a well-reasoned argument.
Yeah you're right. I just think its kind of cool that Steve-o replies to emails. Even if it isnt him :D

Yep, looks like the majority of iPhone users are still stuck with the Tri-Tone because the new ones are just god awful.

Sounds quite at odds with...

:confused::confused::confused:

What I'm saying is that they DO monitor forums and community sites (it would be stupid for them not to), but that doesn't mean they act on everything that people say.

Clearly there are things that people have been asking for since 2007 that they haven't provided yet.
