Rumors are now showing up saying Nikon may have a mirrorless FF camera in the works too: http://nikonrumors.com/2013/10/20/b...me-hybrid-mirrorless-camera-coming-soon.aspx/

Whilst the compact nature of the body is very, very welcome (I loved the size and weight my film OM-2sp back in the day!), I feel an equal drop in size and weight of the lenses would be required to fully realise the benefits. I already carry around more in glass than I do in camera bodies.

A small range of travel lenses - reasonably fast primes, or lenses similar to the medium and wide tri-elmars from Leica would be wonderful to accompany these new bodies :)

Exciting developments though - I also hope these cameras have wi-fi and GPS built in as standard, features I think should be automatically included in cameras of this price range by now!

I'm dumping my D800 as soon as soon gets a proper portrait lens. I loved the time I had with it though and it gave me EXCELLENT IQ, and I'm not that good of a photographer. But for what I do (outdoor portraits, street, family snaps), lighter is the way to go.

I'm seriously looking at the Fuji X-E2+23mm 1.4+56mm 1.2 however. Full-frame isn't all that, especially when I get comparable IQ in a lighter, smaller package.

You should consider getting it and tossing some M glass on it.

I had actually posted this same thing but I mistakenly believed it was an SLT rather than mirror less. My bad. But looks pretty impressive. I have an A99 and it works very well. I just feel bad that the A7 has a 36 MP FF sensor and the A99 only has 24 MP. But oh, well. The A99 does have the AF-D tracking so that's a plus. I just wonder if/when Sony will update its SLT line with to be 36+ MP.

As far as lenses, I'm sure some 3rd party lens makers make E-Mount lenses. Try Tamron or Sigma, too.
