New Studio Display

Oh my, I’m so ready for this!!!!!!!!! Bring it on already! It's everything that's on my mind recently whenever I think of Apple.

Now, the LED Cinema Display / Thunderbolt Display was great. I’d say the single only issue I’ve had with them is the cable not being detachable. Otherwise it’s a beautiful display. It has excellent macOS integration with brightness and volume controls.

What are you all’s wishlists for the upcoming display? I’d like Retina, ProMotion, replaceable cable, and a reasonable price. Bonus for more than one size of display to choose from. Extra bonus for a great camera. Extra, extra bonus for color options… Ok, now I’m stretching it.

I’m looking forward to hear your thoughts / wishes!

I'd like to be able to calibrate the display. 5k is good. Not much fussed about ProMotion. Reasonable price would be nice!

I'm so used to 4:3 aspect ratio on my Huawei MateView now... how am I going back to 16:10 again. : D

Actually hope they don't spend too much money on the speakers because anyone who is actually concerned about the speakers sounding anything but dialogue-quality will either already own, or will be planning to buy, better speakers. Decent speakers make sense on an iMac because Apple like to market the iMac as a full solution in a box. Whereas this is (assuming it arrives) just a monitor.

The MateView is 3:2. 4:3 would be better though. Or just go all the way to 1:1.
