HippieMagic,

Ok, thanks. I have to familiarize myself with the folders and what's in them. Is Applications the same as Programs?

I'd like to know how to do a Print Screen to capture what I see. Similar to 'Alt & Print Screen' on Windows. I keep getting some sort of access request but I don't know what it's for. It pops up for a minute and goes away and comes back every so often.

Is there a Notepad type option?

Is there anything special I need to do when connecting my iPhone to iTunes for the first time?

Yes, Apps are the same as Programs.

To take a Screenshot, there are a a few ways.
#1 - It'll capture the whole desktop. Press Command-Shift-3. This will save the screenshot to your desktop labeled "Picture #" (with # representing a number—for example, if it's the 5th screenshot on your desktop it will be labeled "Picture 5").

#2 - Press Command-Shift-4. This will allow to take a portion of your screen. You will be presented with a crosshair to drag over what area you want. then just let go of the mouse.

#3 - If you want to take a screenshot of a specific window, you can also hit the space bar after you've hit Command-Shift-4. The crosshair will turn into a camera.

Hope this helped :D

Nothing special but if you have synced with another computer, backup you iPhone before you sync and Transfer purchases so that you can restore the iPhone as it was.
Both of the above can be done by Ctrl+Clicking/Right clicking on your iPhone when connected to iTunes, under the devices section of the iTunes sidebar.

Does the request ask for a password? Would you be able to post or screenshot the request the next time you see it so we can tell you what it is/help you figure it out?
