Search first before asking, don't insult people who have a higher rank than you, e 4 now?", and don't spam. You'll survive.

Welcome to MacRumors. :)

I would suggest don't insult anybody as a good rule. :D

As far as "higher rank"; I didn't realize we were functioning under a paramilitary structure. If someone is more knowledgeable than a poster with more posts, then responding to them is, IMO, fine.

The number of posts you have does not necessarily reflect expertise.

And being respectful to everyone, regardless of "rank", is always proper.

Fair enough.

Post count does not necesarily reflect expertise; trust me, I've seen it. However, my point was that, because they are a newbie, almost everyone is going to be a higher rank and/or have been here longer and/or have more posts or generally be more knowledgeable so it's generally a good idea to play nice until you are well known here to avoid being ostracized by the other members. ;)

As suggested above, reading the Forum Rules and FAQ is always a wise thing to do.

Also, if you see other forum members violating the forum rules, please report (

) the posts. Roughly 10,000 posts are posted everyday so we can't read every post, thus post reports are essential in order to keep the forums civil.

Don't make threads telling people you're new to the forums. Your posts tell us everything we need to know.

If your not gonna be respectful then don't bother to post. Just because you've been in the forums more doesn't make you to have a right to say stuff like that. Peace

That's just his clumsy way of saying we will test your metal, via your posts.

That was the stress test.

Not a good result, for you.

I suggest you toughen-up. You're gonna need it, in this group. ;)

That's test your mettle, old man. :D

OP, a sense of humor is a must.

PPC fans are always delighted to hear how much higher your intel mac is benchmarking than their computer.

Noticed you had insults in your post removed by a Moderator, that's not a good start to making it around here. I meant what I said in my initial post. It doesn't help your cause, adds nothing to the community, and clutters the forums.

The moderators always have the last say. It's not helpful to argue with them.

Some of my games perform infinitely better on my G3 than they do on my Classic-lacking MBP ;)

Thanks to OS X Tiger and Lion, performance issues with Classic and PPC applications are no longer an issue :D
