left with a bank page

(any) if i type it in and hit enter

hi, I dragged suite folder to my application, double clicked radon (or krypton), it shows up in dock, and then disappear? nothing open neither?

Im running OSX 10.4.11

The drag and drop version is 10.5 only right now
as for the homepage problems, it seems this is a bug. I will try to resolve it today and get an update out by tommorrow with a couple other fixes. I have been hearing that people are getting update errors with the 10.4 version and unfortunatley I dont think it is anything I can without having everyone download a new 10.4 version from the website. Like stated on the site, the 10.4 version is a beta due to the fact that I am developing under 10.5 and it is tricky to down develop in 10.5

I would like to apologize for all the install problems. My Webmaster is a very busy guy and hasnt had a chance to load all these things to the site. I will post a drag and drop installer for 10.4 later today.

Again sorry for the problems
This is a new experience and we are learning as we go

its ok, Rome wasn't built in one day. take your time.

since Tiger still commands 50~80% of OSX users. It is my suggestion that you guys put a little bit more energy in that..:)

The inbuilt updater tell me there is 1.0.2 so I hit install and it does its thing. Then when it relauches it tell me there is 1.0.2 :confused: The updater updated mine from 1.0 to 1.0.1 but it can't get 1.0.2

Neil- The version n the website is 1.0, if you run the updater, you can update to the newest version. Webmaster just getting a little behind. hes a busy guy.

xUKHCx- There was an error in the plist that made the first 1.0.2 update not change the version of the Browser. The second one will take correctly.

Second one, do you mean the second time it updates itself because i tried it about 5 time and i just tried it again and it is still there.

ok, I managed to try it for a while, hopefully won't be too hash :D

1. the buttons, when clicked, show a white background?

2. no tabb function?

3. there is an obviously delay when I input address and press enter

4. the button design is cool, but the border of the buttons are rough, not smooth enough

5. what are the signature features of radon, compare to other webkit-based browsers?

The update problem is being addressed right now.

As for clevin's question

Radon's signature features are this- Its ability to quickly load pages, its simple user interface, its minimal utilization of OS resources and its sleek and stylish design.

There are bugs that we appreciate everyone points out. It will take a while to get things worked out, but if you all stick with us, im sure you will be happy that you did.

PS-
havent heard from the webmaster for two days and am getting annoyed, but the real installers with update versions will be put up.......eventually

I'm always skeptical about renegade browsers, so if you could answer two quick questions for me before I try it, it would be much appreciated...

1. Does it support 1Password?

2. Do target="_top" links launch in a new window or a new tab? Or is it a preference setting?

Thanks.

Heavy Doody: Its funny you mention 1password, as I am currently working with 1password right now to get it integrated with Radon. As for target=top, there are no tabs in Radon, and that will cause a new window to open

There are no tabs.

You can't see history, you can't see cookies, you can't add bookmarks.

It's a nice project, but I don't think it's ready to be used as a primary browser, at least not yet. Like someone said, Rome wasn't built in a day.

Basically no tabs and no bookmarks turns me away quickly. I hate having multiple windows of my web browser open.

I don't think this is going to be everyman's browser. Personally, I find the lack of tabs attractive, and bookmarks are an acceptable loss for me. I usually end up typing the url anyway since I have only a few things bookmarked, if I bookmark everything I visit then I have to actually look through my bookmarks to find the one I want, defeating the purpose.

The thing that hits me right away is no control over cookies and such. This definitely seems like a great project though, I'm a big fan of the "other" browsers(ironically, I'm using a Camino nightly right now, usually a Seamonkey user).
