I see the base 2015 gold rmb is being sold NEW on ebay today from a known reliable seller for $929, no tax, free shipping. By summer any leftover stock for the base will be under $900. Anyone trying to sell theirs used will be taking a big hit, especially if you paid full price. Perfect condition used, maybe even with some applecare, should be going in the 700s soon, a steal.

This one? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mint-Apple-...re-Intel-Core-M-8GB-256GB-Laptop/371600431479

Pretty decent deal. As it's listed as an openbox I'd suggest buyers double-check their warranty coverage with Apple while within the seller's return period. If it doesn't match up it can often be reset via a phone call to Apple. But just in case there's an issue better to find out while you still have options.

If you're thinking of a different link (you mentioned new), I'm sure others would appreciate it.

Personally I'd be surprised if the leftover stocks lasted until summer. We shall see.

In terms of choosing leftover stock vs refurbs, I never switched context away from the Mobile Advance third-party vendor through Newegg. I can't fathom why you think I did.

Yes, arguing against a position the other person doesn't hold is a waste of everyone's time.

Usually, though sometimes that win comes only after substantial time and frustration.

Not talking about third-party vendor.....was talking about your lack of understanding of the difference between new and used conditions.

Sigh. Really? I fully understand that the potential history of a refurb gives you concern. You (finally) made a clear statement of your thought here:
the difference is the potential bad history with used products and the fact that this is just a huge question mark over the product.

My response was crystal clear:
Some people consider that unknown a big deal, others consider it insignificant since the system was bench tested and passed by a technician.

Come back when you're able to comprehend that others can hold different opinions with neither being "wrong."

I never said at any point that your opinion was wrong. You are the one saying that right there. I don't agree with your opinion because it is logically unsound.
