Some of them are, but they haven't been able to run up to date software since 2008 or so. PCs can run just as long. They get traded up more frequently, but you can use one from a decade ago for web browsing and it's fine. High def modes on youtube might choke it, but they'd do the same to a mac of comparable age.
 
I am buying windows 7 or windows xp full versions in order to run bootcamp. In your opinion which one should I get? Also if anyone knows a site to buy it cheap I would love to know. Thank you
 
You have one option - Windows 7.

Apple no longer supports XP via Boot Camp on the latest Macs and Microsoft stopped selling XP back in 2008.
